Anyone who has, like us, been keeping a very close eye on Gas Powered Games' and Chris Taylor's Supreme Commander will be well aware that the game's looking a storming RTS title. Regarded as the spiritual successor to Taylor's ground-breaking strategy epic Total Annihilation, SC features some of the most impressive units we've ever clapped eyes on, unleashing death and destruction in massive futuristic battlefields.

And you could be playing it shortly! Oh yes. We've got together with Supreme Commander publisher THQ to give away 200 places in the closed beta test which is due to kick off imminently. To stand a chance of scoring yourself a slot, all you need to do is hit the 'Enter Competition' button at the bottom of the page - nice and easy, eh? Once the competition closes - which is next Monday - we'll randomly pick 200 winners out. Winners will be notified via email, which will include details on where to download the beta from and also a unique key code to provide access to the fun.

Plus, the first five winners we pull out the hat will also score themselves a copy of Supreme Commander - although you'll have to hang a bit to get your copy as it doesn't release till early 2007.
