Citing an anonymous source, website Rumour Reporter has claimed that development on a "high profile title for the PlayStation 3" has "stalled completely", and could change from a full-fledged retail release to a chopped-up download on the PS3's online store.
The title in question is widely assumed to be Incognito's PS3 update of Warhawk, which has seemingly gone AWOL since it was shown in hands-on form at last year's E3.
Responding to the rumours David 'God of War drunkard' Jaffe - who was recently at the studio working on Calling All Cars! - said, "So just because some disgruntled ex-worker- who thought the game should have been made HIS way- is now getting his 15 minutes by spouting off to some news source, does not mean he is bringing any meat to the table in terms of valid information. It may be TRUE information in terms of a game having been down a tough road, but again- that is par for the course."
A Sony spokesperson told CVG that they were "not aware of any problems" with Warhawk's development, but we'll report back once we get any futher updates.
I've heard this from a lot of places, but apparently 4 levels plus a mini multiplayer part were finished before the walkout. At least that much could be released as a playable demo (looked like a fun game at CES 2006).

I commented on this story because I really did think that Warhawk looked fun on the PS3. I'm also a very happy Xbox360 gamer, So if that puts me on the "greenside" then so be it.

What I mean is I'm not solely here for the purpose of badmouthing Sony as you seem to think, though will take any opportunity that arises. I'm here for the games in general and was not actually a Sony hater until PS3 was announced. I own a PS1, PSone, PS2, PStwo, and a PSP along with my Xboxen, Gamecuben/Wiizen, D-essen, Dreamcasten, PeeCees... everything really. Lets discuss those instead!
This is a free forum, we're all gamers, and we can comment on anything we like, if you dont like it crusader, tough luck dude, best bet is to go find a sony fanboy forum.
I think its a shame development of this is proving difficult, its not neccessarily anything to do with the PS3 though, developing good games for any platform is challenging at the best of times.
Back to the Sony Bashing though (cos its more fun), I've just been reading on http://stuff.tv/news/id-4605/ that sony have shot themselves in the foot again, by banning all porn manufacturers from using Blu-Ray.... They did the same with Beta Max and look what happened to that.

I dont hate you i just dont see why you hate sony so much and by the look of things you REALLY want to see them fall from grace! If you hate sony so much why look at and read playstation news? and just to show that we do agree on some things i agree with you 100% that Halo is a very avarage game and is pure over hyped. PS, just saw the new story about PS3 being delayed again until April. See what I mean about Sony being unfair to the European market. There are surplus PS3's in the states now, cos no-one wants them, and we get delayed another month. Great.
If I was a potential PS3 owner I certainly wouldn't be loosing any sleep over Warhawk wether it makes an appearance or not.

Before anyone says it, yes I am a bit of a graphics whore but I don't see a problem in that. Personally I think great visuals can enhance a game no end.
PS. Don't even bother bashing me with the usual, gameplay over graphics stuff. Obviously I prefer great gameplay but if developers can't marry the two in this current gen then I might as well go back to my SNES. Great graphics should be par for the course this time round, is that too much to ask?

What? Crap over GOW Dead Rising and the like... sure dude, sure. It looks alright though.
Since CVG does not have a habit of clearing negative false rumours here's an update. This has been confirmed as a false rumour by Sony. They also stated that a release date along with new material is available within a month.
