BioWare tight-lipped on PS3 development

Mass Effect dev responds to reports of PS3 project(s) underway
Earlier in the week reports hit the 'net suggesting BioWare CEO Ray Muzyka recently let slip that the developer is working with PS3.

Following our coverage of the report, we fired an email off to the developer to get its response.

"Thanks for your note, but we haven't made any official announcements about any plans for the PS3," BioWare PR co-ordinator Erik Einsiedel told us.

So while remaining tight-lipped, BioWare hasn't flat out denied it's developing for Sony's console.

PLEASE BioWare give us KOTOR 3 on the PS3 PPPLLLLEEEEAAAASSSSEEE!!!!!

It would be nice for the ps3.

But I doubt this will be a good move, money wise.

Note: If they will chosse the ps3 as a second platform they most likely will also choose the pc.

Well its unlikely this will be Mass Effect, since MS are publishing it...unless of course the publishing deal frees them up to get it published by someone else on another platform, but this is highly unlikely.

I dont think that this will come out on PS3 as the other 2 were exclusive to Xbox & I cannot see MS letting a 3rd in this series appear on anything but 360 & PC they would be nuts to let this franchise slip through their fingers

Too bad Microsoft has no say in the Kotor franchise, it was published by LucasArts and they obviously have the rights to all Star Wars related products while Bioware has the rights to Kotor. So if Bioware asked if they could make Kotor3 for ps3, MS couldn't do anything about except bribe Bioware and LucasArts.

yea, thats why he said "I cannot see MS letting a 3rd in this series appear on anything but 360 & PC".

If only MS had enough money! Razz

I'm, sure i've read somewhere that KOTOR 3 is already in dev for the 360 and pc.

it'll more than likely be a FPS that they will kick out first
mikeiskong on 28 Jan '07
Actually ,Lucas Arts has recovered the KOTOR license and announced future games (KOTOR III ) would be multiplattform for the PC and both next-generation consoles (no word on the Wii tough ) .

So yes ,there will be a KOTOR III in the Playstation 3 .
