Shadow of the Colossus team working on PS3

Team Ico's next game to be on the PlayStation 3, Famitsu reveals
Shadow of the Colossus developer Team Ico is working on a new game for the PlayStation 3, the latest issue of Famitsu has revealed.

No further details are offered in the Japanese mag, though going by the studio's last two titles we absolutely can't wait to see what it's capable of conjuring up on next-gen hardware.

We expect to hear more details before the year's out.

OMG this is very good news for Sony and PS fanboys! SotC is one of the best games i have ever played and Ico was amazing! Just think what they are doing with the PS3! watch out for this one Shocked it's going to be AMAZING if it's anything less than that i'll eat my own head!

OMG this is very good news for Sony and PS fanboys!

Wow, I've never seen anyone label themself as a fanboy before...

Agreed though, this next game can't help but be awesome. ICO and SotC are both fantastic.
Still not worth 600 euro though. Wink

I liked SOTC a lot, so if there's gonna be a game like that on the PS3 then i might think about getting one Very Happy

Lets hope they put some playability into this next game unlike the first SotC which looked amazing but i've had more fun pulling my own teeth out.

hmm, it'd be certainly interesting to see what the talented guys could do with the sixaxis if the next game involves killing giants after scaling them.

Never played SOTC (never owned a PS2) but would definitely consider getting a PS3 if they did a SOTC2 early on in the consoles life span.

Pickled head coming up Wink seriously though, we live in interesting times. One project to keep an eye on for sure.

I think it goes without saying that they would be working on a PS3 title. Still, its nice to get some confirmation.

Lets hope we have complete media silence on this title until its nearly out. Dont want to be tormented by very early previews etc.

still havnt got round to completing SOTC ..(played it round mates) but ICO...was seminal Cool (still get rushes from the shear scale and atmosphere)
these guys have got a talent with playstation architecture ...heres hoping for another great game!
(and hopefully sells for them Wink )
great games...poor sales-whats wrong with that Rolling Eyes
seedaripper on 14 Feb '07
This was an inevitable announcement. And a good one too. ICO and SOTC were two of the best games of the last generation on any platform (I even borrowed a PS2 to play them) so another game from this team is great news.
Thalanos on 15 Feb '07
Shadows of the colossus was one of the best games on PS2. ICO was right there with it. I'm glad to see they're hard at work on the PS3. Check out http://www.savetheps3.com for more good news for the PS3,
