Bizarre blatantly working on Geometry Wars 2

PGR dev all hushes and giggles over XBLA sequel
It looks like the chances of us seeing a sequel to the stupidly addictive Xbox Live Arcade shooter Geometry Wars are quite good, if Bizarre Creations' reaction to CVG's queries this afternoon are anything to go by.

When we asked Boom Boom Rocket masterminds Sam Hall and Nick Bygrave if we'll see more of the psychedelic shooter in the future, they replied simply with shared looks, giggles and a hushed response "we can't say anything about that". It's blatantly coming then.

But what would you like to see in a Geometry Wars sequel? The first thing that comes to our minds is new enemy types, gameplay twists and even more spectacular neon visuals.

Look out for the full interview with the Bizarre Creations pair in the next few days and let us know what you'd like to see in Geometry Wars 2 in the comments section below. Online? Co-op?

I'd have said that actual levels would make sense. The rectangle is pretty flawless, but perhaps some kind of adventure with a maze rather than just a shape would be good.

Failing that, how about a triangle, or a hexagon?

A dodecadon? Doo do, dec....a ... no?

Okay.. how about inside a cube, and you have to flip the cube over with the motion sensing controller depending on which dimension the enemies are coming from.

Oh, wait...

i think they should take a leaf out of the lumines book and change the music as the game goes on. i the speed of the music should afect the game speed.

i think 2 player co-op should be on same screen not live. truth is i dont really think it neds much, but i hope it costs 400ms points

Silly question but how come you cant get notifications of when someone else posts a message now?

There used to be a tick box underneath which you could tick but now its gone!

I would prefer them to fix the current version of the game before they work on a second. Fix the worm bug, remove the learning AI (and before anyone bleats that the attack waves are purely random, they really should get a dictionary and look up random!!!) I KNOW it learns your play style so it can defeat you. They only way I can beat my high score now is to use a memory card, remove the hard drive. Format the card, recover my profile to it. Download the game again to the card and play from that. I get two or three goes before it learns how to defeat me. Try it yourself if you don't believe me...

I cant wait but the problem with the one first was that it was too danm hard.

But the good thing about it is that it is really intense
if you take your eyes of the T.V screen for one second you are already dead Shocked

I think that Geometry wars should keep the music (Come on who couldent like that music? Smile ) and make it even more intense!! Mr. Green
