First batch of Guitar Hero II tunes to download

From Motorhead to The Red Hot Chili Peppers
According to rumours this morning the first batch of downloadable songs for Guitar Hero II on 360 will include eight tunes to bang your head to.

There's currently no word on how many Microsoft Points the package will set you back. Or if indeed these will be the first eight tunes you'll be able to download, as nothing has been officially confirmed (or denied).

  • Motorhead - Ace Of Spades
  • Ozzy Osbourne - Bark at The Moon
  • The Exies - Hey You
  • Edgar Winter Group - Frankenstein
  • Queen - Killer Queen
  • The Donnas - Take It Off
  • Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Higher Ground
  • Bad Religion - Infected
  • Incubus - Stellar

No sign of the Halo theme tune though. And that makes us sad.

yeah, it's 9 songs, and they aren't bought together. it's 3 groups of 3, with each one costing 500 microsoft points... better to just get Guitar Hero for the PS2 if you ask me... those nine songs are already half the price of the whole PS2 game (which with all the indie songs has maybe 50 songs or so?)

Sorry, too expensive. £12.75 for 9 songs - doesn't cut the mustard, I'm afraid.
cagutter on 11 Apr '07
13 quid?!!! Eff that. There're enough tracks on the disk to keep me going... Especially at that price. I've only just started mastering Normal, Hard is insane and Expert makes my fingers ache just watching it... So still got a looooong way to go.

Yeah, Im sorry, but Ive just been on live and 500 points for 3 songs is a fecking rip-off. Seriously p**sed off about this. 500 points ????? If this is Red Octane's or Activisions idea, then stuff them, Im not paying that. If its Microsofts idea, then they should all take shots at riding a cactus. Ive done nothing but support the 360 since its release, and even go as far as spend £70 on a game thats essentially the same on another console for around £40 (with the first version available for about £20).
Ive said it earlier, but 500 points for 3 songs is a fecking rip-off. Microsoft/red octane/activision should lower the points price of these songs and refund points for anybody who has bough them ¬_¬
What a huge let down.
