No-one likes as smelly ninja, and that's why Tenchu Z on 360 will have you taking baths and spraying on some 'shower in a can' to stop your enemies from sniffing you out.
Apparently, way back when real ninjas roamed around the roofs of Japan, a lack of modern technology meant they had to build up a strong sense of smell to sniff out their enemies. A doctor who didn't smell of medicine herbs must have been dodgy, right?
Tenchu Z takes this idea and turns it into a new Ki meter that, as well as displaying sound, sight and presence warning, it will also detail your smell. As you go in disguise into missions, the smell indicator shows how detectable you are by your scent.
If enemies get a whiff of blood on your clothes you're done for, so you'll have to take a bath or use a "cleansing potion", otherwise known as Impulse or Lynx Africa.
Tenchu Z will be smelling on Xbox 360 from June 26.
If this is the same game I downloaded a demo of from the Japanese marketplace last year then it's very likely that the actual game does stink because it was a very poor game in my opinion. Admittedly that was an early version but I'm not holding my breath that the final product is any better than mediocre personally...

hey i was about to say the exact same thing. The demo i tried on japanese dl was awful with a captial switch it off now. Dont think it was an early version? maybe just taken time to come over here
The tenchu demo was great, or am I the only one. I`ve followed tenchu, and while nothing sticks out as new (the writing is in japanese, so...) I thought it looked ok, and played just as good if not better than the original. The thing about this game is it`s not a one run though game, you challenge yourself each time to get grandmaster.
Just hope they are holding back with the demo and saving the newer features for the final game. I`ve played it about 20 times and thought it was cracking. Ok` maybe nostalgar(spelling) has taken hold, whatever, I`ll buy it.
The one thing I liked about the original game was the editor, god the fun with that; hope this has one, too!???
