At Ubisoft's recent press event held in Paris, Haze developer Free Radical told CVG the game is in development for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC and not just PS3 as has been reported.
During the Haze section of the Ubidays conference, the impressive-looking shooter was unveiled as PS3 lead with no other systems mentioned.
Haze was originally announced for all three systems in 2006 but the lack of any other system being mentioned for over a year, and the fact that the TimeSplitters team has a massive PlayStation heritage, seemed to point the finger of exclusivity at Sony and PS3.
This isn't the case though. During an exclusive interview Free Radical's Dave Doak told us that while the game is leading on PS3 there are also Xbox 360 and PC versions coming. Doak added that the team hasn't had any major issues developing for Sony's machine either.
Good to hear that all you 360 owners are going to be able to play this title , it does look like it could be a big hit if they pull it off (which i'm sure they will) can't wait for the multiplayer modes!
As it was initally announced as a multi-platform release this is surely no shock!
Still it is PS3 lead which means that the PS3 will get a decent version (unlike Ubisofts usual LAZY ports) as it's not ported from the 360, will be interesting to see the system comparisons of a multi-platform PS3 lead game.
i never thought that it was a ps3 exclusive but still,4-player co-op sounds like fun.wouldn't mind a map editor as well but by all accounts there won't be one.
I used to enjoy messing with the health of Dr Doak when you had completed golden eye, The make the bugger dance by shooting him in the hands and Knees. I may have to dig it out later for some doak punishment!
i never believed it was a PS3 exclusive in the first place. guess this is good for 360 owners, as it gives them something other than the overhyped Halo 3 (complete with its atrocious graphics) to look forward to
glad to see the PS3 being the lead platform also, that way we don't have to suffer another horrible port.
as it gives them something other than the overhyped Halo 3 (complete with its atrocious graphics) to look forward to
We'll see who has the last laugh monkey boy!
me? i'm hardly worried about which is better between one "me-too" shooter and another. if you'll still be around laughing, then i guess thats your loss. i'll be too busy with Assassins Creed, Uncharted, Stranglehold, R&C5, Heavenly Sword (and maybe even Bioshock and Mass Effect, whenever i decided to repurchase another 360) to have even heard you.
Since when was it a ps3 exclusive any way. I never even heard that it was going to be a ps3 exclusive. I always assumed that it was going to be multi platform.
