Earlier this week we reported on ESRB listings for an Xbox 360 version of Tomb Raider: Anniversary, which looked likely to hit the console via Xbox Live download.
When contacted Eidos gave us a swift "no comment" on the listing, but we've since had it backed up by a source inside the company who says that the 360 version of Anniversary is "definitely" on the way.
In the original ESRB listing, Anniversary's levels were fingered for deployment as individual levels, which would possibly be release as downloads via Matketplace, though our source is "unclear" whether the game will be arriving via disc or download at this point. He says "there is a chance" it could be an Xbox Live download.
If it does appear for download it's not certain what sort of graphical state it'll be in, since Eidos has said the reason Anniversary wasn't heading for Microsoft's box is because creating new hi-res textures was too much work.
Still, the PC version looks fantastic, and if the price is right we don't really care.

Speaking of Lara.. I was walking down my (semi) local GAME today, and to boost the sales of Tomb Raider, they had a rather hawt girl in a Lara Croft out in the front.

Sex sells
So... very important question... did you get any photos? (or better yet a phone number) lol
I'm in the same boat as you starvinbull. If it comes out at retail on 360, I'm kicking up a major fuss at Eidos. I shall be requiring reimbursement for buying the PS2 version due to their flat-out denial of the game hitting 360, only to have them change their minds a week later. That's (well fed)bullcrap. You cannot do that.
Wii version, improved controls
I think the oxymoron of the year award has just been added to the Guinness Book of World Records because of you good sir. (Meant to be read in joking tone, not argumentative. We disagree about the Wii, fair enough, I'm trying to extract some humour from it and nothing more. Just thought I'd make that clear in case any Wii fans take it the wrong way and I'm suddenly attacked with more Wiimotes than an expensive flatscreen )

You know the world is getting too Politically Correct when you have to put a disclaimer twice the length of your joke in a forum post.
