EA is kicking off a new initiative to support Mac with its games with the release of four of its major games for OS X.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Need for Speed Carbon, Battlefield 2142 and Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars are all due to release for the Mac this summer.
The publisher explains that the titles "are being ported to take advantage of the Mac's performance to run with stunning visuals and signature gameplay at blistering speeds."
Frank Gibeau, EA's executive vice president of publishing has said the four games mark just the beginning of the company's support for Mac OS X.
Indeed, Madden NFL 08 and Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08 for Mac will follow later in the year, with the releases to coincide with the launches of the games on other platforms.
Mac should defo have more games, it's just a PC with a different OS anyway, would be great to see more cross platform support, I like Macs user functionailty better, but the limited diversity of software which works on it will always prevent me from making a purchase.

Im a PC owner, but id much prefer if Mac became a gaming platform, 500euro+ for Vista Ultimate is a complete joke, i much prefer unix and Mac is essentially that, it would be even better if those games were to be released for linux
