Lightgun arcade shooter, Time Crisis 4, is on the way to PS3, confirming earlier rumours stirred up by US retailers.
According to the latest issue of Japanese Famitsu magazine (via NeoGAF), the PS3 version will contain an AC mode that will be a 100 percent perfect port of the arcade game, which we assume means there'll be no changes to the gameplay or graphics.
It will also pack a Mission mode, although no further details on that have been revealed.
Famitsu also reports that a Guncon 3 (the third iteration of the lightgun used in Time Crisis) is in the works for PS3. We'll be interested to see how it resolves the issue of working with LCD televisions, with which traditional lightguns are completely incompatible.
yet another excuss to make the poor gamer pay for another light gun for a five minute wonder. game looks great in the arcade but they just don't last long enough in the home to make them worth it.
I like time crisis, so all thisd needs to improve on is its long term appeal.
As for the gun controler, I think its worth a shot (geddit?), although think of the other uses you can have with it. Imagine a proper fps with a gun controler. Interaction like this wasnt realy achieved on ps2, so lets have more uses for the gun controler- I love it!
Namco, can we have a gun with force feedback please. And a conversion of Time Crisis 1 with enhanced graphics please. Oh, and a footpedal too. Basically I just want a decent Time Crisis 1 experience at home. I'd even buy a PS3 for this. Oh yeah, and Sega, can you release conversions of Virtua Cop 1 and 2 and House of the Dead 1. With enhanced graphics naturally.
I've always loved gun games in the arcade but they've always sucked at home. But now I have a big a$$ TV so if Namco do their bit correctly it could all work out well.
no no no no no no no no no no no no no no!!!!!!! i wish this came out on the wii aswell as house of the dead 3,4. that means i need a wii for ghost squad ps3 for time crisis and a 360 for house of the dead damn as the wii is the perfect console for these games!!!!!!!

Im with you dude,Time Crisis 1 was the best of the lot. Virtua cops 1+2 also kick serious ass. But...keep dreaming..it'll never happen.
