StarCraft II trailer unveils Protoss units

Soul Hunter, Phase Cannon, the Tempest units and more spied in new footage
A new StarCraft II trailer that's wormed its way onto the internet is providing a first look at the Protoss units appearing in Blizzard's recently announced RTS sequel.

Viewable on YouTube, the trailer runs for two-and-a-half minutes and has come from the cover disc of the August issue of PC Gamer (US), according to Kotaku.

StarCraft fans can clap eyes on a number of new units, including mechanized ground unit the Soul Hunter, the Phase Cannon, the Twilight Archon and the Tempest. Each unit can been seen in action in gameplay clips.

so the tempest seems very much like an upgraded version of the carrier from th first starcraft

and the twilight archon looks....


well two of them died very quickly...

I know graphics are hardly that siginificant in an RTS, but nevertheless, this looks dated already.

Yeah, using the WC3 engine seems slightly lazy to me, I really can't see this competing with the likes of Supcom any time soon.

Ah well, I'm sure the Koreans will have orgasms over it Rolling Eyes I think it looks bland and very yesteryear personally.
