We've got the latest Nintendo release schedule that reveals the much anticipated European release dates for two of its biggest upcoming games.
Samus' massive Wii debut isn't far off because Metroid Prime 3: Corruption is hitting stores on October 26. YES!
And Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (aka The Best Game on DS) is sailing it's way to our little island a week before that: October 19.
In another slightly more surprising revelation, Nintendo also confirms that Advance Wars 2 is on the way to DS, and it'll be out later this year. Wowzer!
Needless to say, you'd better have some cash saved up because those are some of the most essential purchases of the year for every Nintendo fan.
Sadly I lost interest in MP3 as soon as they said it wasn't going to feature online play. No excuse for not including it other than laziness. It's still looking pretty good though, and no doubt it'll sell well enough.
Fingers crossed for either a patch or MP4 multiplayer...
hands up,who expected anything other than next year for mp3? i didn't.it looks like metroid's the big winter release for europe so where does that leave mario galaxy?
Well, as no news has been given over the release of Mario Galaxy in Europe, my guess is MP3 and Zelda are the only big releases for Nintendo this year.

I would prefer them to concentrate on the single player game and make it the best it can possibly be. Metroid just doesn't work as a multi player game.

I second that. Many FPS games rely on the multiplayer to compensate for the weak single player
Well MP3 is just going to get lost with that release date. It has no chance what so ever with GTA 4 being released around the same time. Also, I have no interest in this game. Don't come up with excuses, this game was delayed for ages and for them to announce multi-player has been dropped its a major drawback in making this game stand out with the amount of quality FPS being released this year.

I am not making excuses. I am much more interested in a good single player experience, online would just be a bonus. After all not everything has to be online and Metroid has always been an adventure game rather than a shooter.

I think thats what they call an open and shut case, eh?
I'd buy this over GTA, simply cos I don't have to buy every game on it's release... and MP3 on the remote looks a lot fresher than playing the same sandbox game with a face-lift.
Don't get me wrong, I'll certainly enjoy GTA, it's just our priorities are very different.
MASSIVE WOOT for Zelda though... I really dreaded Nintendo dragging their heels on that one.
I was all set on importing Zelda from the US, but it looks like its coming out here next.. Metroid Prime, Galaxy, Etc.. All great, but I am looking forward to phantom hourglass more than any other game this year, I truly believe it will be brilliant (And it will be if CVG and Famitsu are to be believed)
