Microsoft chose Comic-Con in the US to reveal that a version of Viva Pińata is in the works for DS.
The remake will be based on the first 360 title instead of the recently announced Party Animals follow-up. From a few snaps that have escaped the comic convention the game looks to be coming at you from a top down perspective. A PC version is also confirmed as being in devleopment.
We're still waiting for the official release to land on our desks along with some actual info and screen shots.
Excellent! I’m looking forward to this. Viva Pińata is the one game I feel I’m missing out on by not having a 360 – a 2D DS version will hit the spot nicely!
Enough with the Pinata bulls**t allready!! Have they not got yet that its a f***ing flopp franchise? I mean how thick is their skull anyway? This is proof that Nintendo did the right move selling it to Microsoft. Not a single great game have come from RARE on Microsoft plattform yet. Have you even played the game? I think that Rare has produced some really good gaames for 360 that have been shunned due to their type of games not appealing to the average 360 owners. Kameo and Viva Pinata are two quality games that if were on Wii, would be million sellers by now. Perfect Dark Zero was pretty average but has pretty much been the only game that has appealed to the average 360 owner.
Anyway, this is good news for DS owners and also good news for Rare. Finally their great work will be appreciated by fans that actually like their style of games.

to bloody right, i just hope they dont mess Banjo3 up is all i can say.
yeah, I was hoping not to get flamed by my comments. And thankfully I havent. That must mean I´m not way off. I to hope they dont mess up Banjo 3. Also I was wrong about not a single good game on microsoft system. I think Conker on Xbox was superb and the second best game on the system (yeah, Halo nr.1).
