Little is known about L.A. Noire except what you can take from the trailer, but it looks like the game is only coming to PS3. And this isn't the recently revealed PS3 exclusive either...
The game's described as an "interactive detective story set in the classic noir period of the late 1940s," presumably before highways, E3 (RIP) and illegal hotdog vendors that now plague the streets of The City of Angels.

The latest schedule from Take Two, following last night's disastrous GTA IV delay, only lists the game for PS3.
Previously the game was announced as next-gen only, though you'll have seen plenty of previews of it in Xbox mags. We've been on the phone to Rockstar who seem to be buried in a bunker at the moment. Funny that.
is this the new PS3 exclusive thats not L.A. Noire??.. i always get a bad feeling about games that have been in development this long, i remember seeing a small trailer demo for this years ago.... i'm not bothered about this not coming to 360.

Soho Team aka, The Getaway Developers, are working on Eight Days (army of two with two police geeks), The Getaway 3 (GTA mafia style but more grittier) and another Third Person Shooter (seems you will be a Hitman or so). All these are PS3 Exclusives - seems that buying a PS3 will be worthed then.

Oh, I swear I read somewhere this was being made by The Getaway developers and published by Rockstar. I found it hard to believe that those talentless hacks are being given work again.
La Noire could be good then, trailer definetly had a nice visual style that interested me. Be interesting to see some actual in game footage though.
Oh and you can't judge the 360 line-up for next year as Microsoft have barely talked about it. So far all we know is Fable 2, Alan Wake and Banjo Kazooie are coming out next year which is good enough for me!

Yeah couldn't agree more, Team Soho suck hard...they got a potentially great entity to work with 'The Getaway' and keep churning out crap....anyway, I'm not holding my breath for a new Getaway.
On the subject of next years releases, PS3 lineup looks good, although I'm not blown away..Heavenly Sword seems hype fueled to me, just a good looking Dynasty Warriors, and to me those games are boring beyond belief! Killzone 2, looked good, but didn't really stand out to me, again way too much hype I feel...MGS4 looks cool if a little sterile and stiff!
Cant think of the other PS3 big hitters for next year, but believe that Microsoft wont just sit on the fence watching Sony trying got claw back sales, they got alot of games in the stash, some not even announced yet...
2008 will be very interesting indeed, what with price drops and everything Xmas 2008 will be an epic battle.

I remember its a marathon and when the lagger behind catches up (Or if i get a windfall earlier) then I will back it Seriously though there is only a few exclusives on any format that i could say i want Final Fantasy on PS3 Blue Dragon Eternal Sonata and Lost Odyssey on 360 and the Wii which has Galaxy and Metroid other than that the other exclusives in my mind are just snooze-worthy so far.

I too have a Wii but I must admit that my love has dwindled of late... The big games for me this year are Heavenly sword, warhawk, UT, haze, Ratchet and clank, Drakes fortune, mario galaxy, metroid and Mario olympics. I will be skintypoos.
Oh forgot about Drakes fortune when doing that list and as for first person shooters I cant play em on console I find the auto aim snap thing annoying and control pad too awkward but thats just me.

'You' was a general comment for people who don't actually own a PS3 yet, and for me the warriors and some other people i know the warriors was lacking substance with a dodgy combat system, graphically it was relly good though and the film's a classic.
All i'm saying is let's wait until there's some solid gameplay and not some High-res trailer.

Bugger! I love Noir styled games, so was looking forward to this... Unfortunatly I can't afford to buy all the Xbux games I want, A PS3 and a DS for Sonic RPG next year... So I'm gonna have to give it a miss.
Ah well... Mass Effect and Bioshock'll keep me company, no doubt.
But it's not all gloomy for PS3 gamers, the Take-Two schedule indicates that Rockstar's moody, jazz-powered crime thriller, LA Noire, will only be coming to Sony's box, with 360 missing out altogether. Prior to this new info LA Noire was always listed as being a 'next-generation title'.

I think it's fair to say we'll get a much better game if they release it in 2008 instead of releasing it on October... If only because, y'know, it'll be finished.
