Geometry Wars: 'we've not forgotten about Xbox 360...'

Is a Geometry Wars sequel coming to XBLA soon? Bizarre drops CVG all the hints...
For months after launch Geometry Wars was pretty much the only game worth playing on Xbox 360. Why then, almost two years later, has Bizarre Creations not raked in the cash with a number of XBLA sequels?

We asked community man Ben Ward in our recent interview, and he gave us a bit of hope that Geometry Wars 2 might be on the cards...

"We're playing our Geometry Wars cards close to our chest right now. As you know, we've just announced Geometry Wars Galaxies for the Nintendo platforms, GW: Mobile for mobile phones, and we've recently released the game onto Steam too.

"So there's a lot going on," he says, "but that doesn't mean we've forgotten about the Xbox 360..."

Oooo! Etc. Unfortunately, considering the company is about to charge 40 quid for Geometry Wars Galaxies on Wii, we can't see an XBLA sequel pushing the boat out to far. Unless, that is, they put Galaxies on their for a bigger price...

Look for our entire interview with Ward, in which he waxes lyrical on PGR4's new features, shortly.

Cool. Be great if they released a new Geomtry Wars. Dont know what extra they can add to the original but should be great fun.

But theres the follwing comment in the feature:-

"For months after launch Geometry Wars was pretty much the only game worth playing on Xbox 360."

Why does this type of comment always appear?! The 360 ine up was very strong IMO. Youve got Condemned, PDZ (online not single player), Kameo and lastly the fantastic PGR3 all worthy of your time during the launch period. Why do thee get forgotten about? Plus you can bet that in a PGR4 Preview they'll say something like "For months after launch PGR3 was pretty much the only game worth playing on Xbox 360"
Doesnt make any sense. Anyway I digress Geomtry Wares 2 sounds like a great idea

Condemned and Call of Duty 2 are still amongst my favourite games on 360...

But yeah I'd like to see Galaxies or something similiar showing up around the same time as PGR4. The co-op looks like a lot of fun and would be a dream over Xbox Live.

I think they might have meant XBLA Live not 360. Confused
