While we cross our fingers in the hope that Super Mario Galaxy is at least as big as Super Mario 64 (which had 15 main levels, and numerous smaller ones), it is reported that Mario's next quest will take him through six worlds.
We suspect that this accounts to the environments of the main worlds in the game (so far we've seen fire, water, sand, haunted houses and Bee worlds) as well as more generic space environments with smaller rock platforms, and what appear to be bonus platform worlds - similar to those in Super Mario Sunshine.
So it's still tough to judge how big the game will be, or even how it will be structured but it's looking epic.
Famitsu also reports that Mario's new Boo suit will allow Mario to evade the attention of nearby Boo ghosts - so it's basically a disguise. We suspect it'll have more than one function like allowing him to fly a short distance or go through walls.
The Bee suit is currently the only other suit revealed so far, but Nintendo says there will be more. Check our hands-on E3 preview for more on that.
Look out for more Galaxy-related write-ups later this week, along with video walk-throughs of the latest playable version.
I want all the old suits, especially Racoon Mario! Oh and am I the only one who thought the Koopa suit was a good idea? Or that Super Mario Sunshine was brilliant?
The ONLY way this will be epic is if downloadable content is available. I mean its the whole GALAXY we should be able to download new levels worlds etc. WE CAN REBUILD. WE HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY.
I won't be too worried either it its relatively short. Hopefully its chock full of secrets though.
6 main worlds? Thats would indicate that there will be six different costumes....
If there is 6 different worlds I hope there are lots of levels in each world like 8 levels for each world and I will be dissapointed if they use the same engine as in mario 64 where you re-use the same level to get more stars, I hope it will run like 2D mario games where once you finish a level its finished if you know what I mean and move on to the next level obiously it would be cool if you could re-enter old levels to discover secrets like magic keys in stuff to unlock new levels like in super mario world and the thought of seeing a return of the suits is really cool but I am sure the game is going to be twice as big as Super Mario 64, after all they have been working on it since before Super Mario Sunshine was released!

I know exactly what you mean, i hated super mario 64, mainly because i thought it sucked anyway but that whole replaying the same level to get a different star p**sed me off. I'm playing through super mario bros 3 again and when you've done the level its done which is what i like. trying to find the secrets was mint to. going behind the background was genius. the racoon suit was mint. down + A turned him into stone. it was full of crap like that lol. I hope they have a massive world again like world 4 SMB3. battling a massive 3d goomba in space has me going.
galaxy gonna b gr8 but i dont want 2 replay each level 2 get diff stars thats borin, but i hope it has kwl suits like a boswer fire-breathin 1 or somit!1 so sick tha up sony's PS3's crapy ass!
Ouch, I for one didn't actually mind the whole replaying the level for different stars, as there was quite a lot to explore after all. There were some pointless missions though. I am really scared that this game isn't going to be overly easy though.
And another question. How do you fall off if you've pulled by gravity to the nearest object? Because slow moving idiot goombas surely aren't going to bring me down

Sorry if that's already been covered somewhere.
It was okay in Mario 64 because of the leap into 3D but when Super Mario Sunshine came along it was more like Super Mario Climbing Frame Extravaganza and nothing more the worlds were unimaginative and too similar it was too short and the secret levels were complete crap and so was the enemy animation!
