Reports zipping around the internet during the last 12 hours raised hopes that the PC demo for BioShock would be released later today - however, the game's publisher 2K Games has told CVG there's still no confirmed date for the FPS sample.
2K said the plan is to still get the PC demo out this month, but it has no further news at this stage. The publisher previously stated that it's busting its balls to get the demo out before August 21 when the game releases officially in the States, but it's running out of time.
It's gutting for PC gamers that the demo of the game that's on everyone's lips isn't out, especially when the Xbox 360 Bioshock demo has been out since last Sunday. That's just rubbing salt into the wound.
To its credit 2K's been very apologetic over the lack of a PC demo, but it still HURTS.
Bioshock has been massively hyped and, of course, when a game receives such hype we all prepare ourselves for the inevitable major letdown. However, if you've been following reviews of the first-person shooter then you'll know its receiving massive scores - high 90 percents and 10/10s - and on average is currently scoring higher than any other game EVER.
Science damn it ! I feel like Cartman waiting for his Wii...
Going to need to see how this looks on my PC before buying it, so hoping the demo makes it out soon. It is preloading on fileplanet... so I'm optimistic.

Thats why i want the demo too to see how this looks on my PC. So if you can preload it on FP now why hasnt it been released?
aww, oh well, hopefully will come out before next Friday *stamps feet like a 3 year old*
it'll be in the shops then
The UK Gets it on friday.
ahh i know, if its out like next wednesday i wont bother with the demo and just get the game, if i need a new gfx card for good visuals im planning on picking up one in November anyway
I just finished playing the 360 demo for the first time, it was great. Wasn't hyped for Bioshock at all until about an hour ago, now it's a definite purchase. I think I'll go play the demo again... oh whats this? No PC demo out yet? Oh. Well... hmm. Yeah, time to go play it again.
For the record I have a really high-spec PC that could well handle Bioshock, but when given the chance I'll always choose console versions for convenience. No installation, CD keys, possible compatibility issues, tweaking of settings, just pop it in and you're away.

PC = Superior Performance and Superior Visuals.
If i like the PC demo (which i doubt i will as its not my type of game) ill buy it but its not likely.

yep exactly, and much better playing with keyboard and mouse
Im opting for the 360 version. Like a previous poster said, so much more convienient and I can play from the comfort of my sofa. I guess the plus is that this game can be enjoyed by both 360 owners and PC owners so its nice we have the choice of how we want to play the game.

Only benefite I see with consoles is that you don't have to take up 8 gig of HD.

Wow so what if pc is more powerful we do know that, at least with having a console we have a choice of more games as pc gaming isn't as big as it once was If i like the PC demo (which i doubt i will as its not my type of game) ill buy it but its not likely.

lol, that doesnt bother me as i have 900Gig to use up
meh i had the option for 4TB but i chose 500 GB which is plenty!!!
Depends what you want it for, my PC is spec'd for a lot of stuff not just gaming, but why get 4 1TB drives, how come you didnt just get 1? If theres a 4TB SATA 2 drive out there, do you have a link?

ahh ok, yep, seperate 1TB drives in Raid 0 is what Alienware offer
I'll pick this up for the 360 even if I'd prefer to play it on the PC. Not a hope in hell though of it runnning on my laptop - AMD Turion 64 Mobile 1.6GHz, 1GB ram, ATI x700 processor. I just can't afford an upgrade!
so far I've played the demo on my 360 (which blew me away).
Anyways games publishers are muppets even moreso because currently lucky modded 360 owners are playing the full version as we speak, which has been leaked.
Also because although I was about to preorder it I just found out the US gets it tuesday, and we get it Friday here in the UK.
I mean jesus christ, are they just encouraging me to download an illegal torrent or what?? Do they not learn anything from the film/TV industry (which also fails to learn anything from itself)?
BTW dunno if anyones aware of this but it'll be harder on PC to make up for the superiorety of the mouse, that's official. As much as a Halo obsessed xbox fan I am, this one's definatly a PC game for me.

Do you mean harder on 360? :s cus that didnt make sense.
XBox owners get a slight auto aim. Mwahahah, the power of the PC!
