It takes a wee while to actually show any racing but a new trailer from GT Prologue provides a stunning three-minute look at the PS3 racer.
We get to view nice shiny motors and pit-stop crews in action before the rubber burning kicks off in earnest, but you still get just over a minute of cars tearing round the tarmac.

doesnt matter how good the graphics are. this is the most boring game ever to play. i got the GTHD demo for ps3 and it is god awful. cannot understand why people like this!!! the least fun game EVER! it looks, plays and sounds boring, what a load of s**te!!!! the most exciting part of this game was switching it off.
PGR4 will rip this apart - from all angles, especially in playability and i believe also graphics and effects. ram gran turismo up yer bottom pipe sony, im buying a new falcon especially for PGR4
Be fair Vercetti, the psn demo was just an HD version of GT4 with only time trials. How can you judge that against GT5? There will be c**kpit views, dynamic weather and 16 car races to look forward to in the final release - not to mention 12 player online races. PGR is also a great game and anyone who says otherwise is not a full shilling, but it is a different beast to GT5 and I will be buying both.
Top of my number 1 hopes,is that they drop the "the real driving simulator " tag .
For something that has no clutch,indestructible cars,indestructible ,car stopping plastice tape type barriers,that tag has absolutely no place being there.
Otherwise ,finally,something to get peoples peckers up,and keep them there once the eye candy effect drops .

THE FACT IS THAT GT5 WILL BE THE BEST VIDEO GAMES DRIVING SIMULATOR EVER BELIEVE IT OR NOT. And because xbox360 does not have something that comes close to GT5 (this game is a console seller and GT1,2,3,4 SOLD LOADS OF MILLIONS) you don't have to said all these crap...so go back to your 360 and play your lovely arcade racers to death and let us play with our real games.

anyway gran turismo games are so dull they just drain the life out of you. no thrills racing, but the graphics do look fantastic.
its only every blue-moon that i buy a racer, and usually i go for the more arcade-types (such as Burnout or Need for Speed). however, GT5 Prologue could very-well get me to invest an interest in simulation-racers. quite simply put, this game has the best graphics i have ever seen in a racer (or any game for that matter, if i am allowed to compare apples to oranges). i didn't think graphics could get any better than PGR4, but GT5 Prologue has soundly proven me wrong.
I think people who claim that this game is going to be bad should remember that this is not the full GT5 but as the name of the game states a prologue to GT5.
This means that a full damage model is not out of the question. For me the Gran Turismo games were always slightly arcade feeling, so I wonder if they go for a full simulation that they will lose a lot of fans, but maybe as gamers we now need that extra difficulty to appreciate this game fully.
On the graphics side I was blown away by the PSN video but can also see that they will be improved for the full GT5 game.
I own PGR3 and would like to say that it was my first taste of X-box and it got me back into console gaming, but I cant help feeling that it wasn't right and the fact that bikes are in PGR4 makes me think have I seen the best the series has to offer.
I have never played Forza but was put of by some independent reviews of the game so I wont comment on this, but in terms of Sim racing you should look at Sim bin games as they have set a new bench mark in simulation racing, if GT5 can convey the same feelings in Prologue and GT5 then the crown might go to them. Oh and the Wii is king.

Forza 2, this may look slightly better but i own a ps3 and wont be paying out Ł40 for this game.
Come on sony give us somthing Unique.

Ive had all of the gt games! and i think their great!! although i mostly just go on timetrial and thrash my fav cars about!!. its one of the best driving games i have fun with and have played 4 hours on end without getting board!! i have 2 admit. why r there soo many crap cars in the game? and why has gt never had a lambo??. and the actual racing can get very boring!.but normally i just use a cheat disk. and pass all tests etc.. and get millions in the bank . then i buy all my fav cars, tune them up. and have hours and hours of fun!!!!!. ive played pgr3 on a friends 360. and although i had fun playing it. i still prefer gt!!!.yes i feel that gt5 needs alot of change from the past games!! but even if it dont change then ill still get my hours and hours of fun. so im happy watever!! .the car models r the best ive ever seen!! but i think the tracks sould b improved on!! frm wat ive seen!?.ill b getting gt5 as soon as its out!! coz IT IS the/one of, the best driving games ever!!!
I feel that the GT series has stagnated since it's inception and hasn't really given anything new to the genre thus far just relying on the name to sell it, GT5 does look visually impressive and i hope they do overhaul some aspects of the gameplay and i do hope it's not a case of modifying the car and being well ahead of the rest of the pack for the easy win.
