The Ship sequel underway

More ocean liner-based hunting and murdering in the pipe, this time on Xbox 360 as well as PC
Edinburgh-based developer Outerlight has offered brief confirmation that a sequel to its murder mystery game The Ship is currently underway.

According to reports, the sequel is in development for PC and Xbox 360.

The Ship was originally conceived and released as a Half-Life mod, but Outerlight decided to update it with Valve's Source technology and go commercial.

In the game, players on-board ocean liners enter into a game of hunt and murder. You're given the name of another player, and you then have to hunt that person down with any weapon you can find and bump them off without being seen by security or fellow passengers.

As soon as we hear more on Outerlight's plans for its sequel, we'll let you know.

Fantastic news. I was praying for the day i'd hear this news. The ship was one of my favourite online pc games ever. It was so original and fun. I cant wait to see the console version on XBL.

This suggests it sold quite well then commercially? An outing on the 360 will perhaps give it some of the attention it deserves.
