Fresh gory treats in new Jericho trailer

Meet Sgt. Frank Delgado of Jericho Squad - and lots of blood and exploding heads
A new gameplay trailer from Codemasters' horror-shooter Clive Barker's Jericho is serving up plenty of gore in our video player.

The trailer focuses on Sgt. Frank Delgado, one of the members of Jericho Squad, masters in the art of occult warfare.

Jericho's a squad-based FPS/horror-fest that relates the story of Jericho Squad, a strike force established to protect the government from paranormal threat. It's due out October on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

Looks like Painkiller without the Serious Sam-esqe-ness. Don't like the idea of there being guns though. Would have much preferred it to have a hand-to-hand preference throughout. In fact, I'm sure all the early scenes of this game featured hand-to-hand combat only. That would have been much better. Hellraiser wouldn't have been scary if the main girl had a minigun.

I agree i'm hoping for good things for this title but that trailer is not doing the game any favours.
