We'd pretty much bet our life savings of £5.67 that TimeSplitters 4 (first details here) will release on PS3 and Xbox 360, but it's also looking likely that we wouldn't lose money by backing a Wii version either.
Free Radical's David Doak has described Wii development in general as "a good thing to do" and followed that up with "I think we want to put it [TimeSplitters 4] on the Wii", in an interview with Game Informer.
"I'm sure it's possible to do a control scheme that works", Doak added when asked about his thoughts on developing a first-person shooter for Wii.
He went on to say he'd like to see Free Radical's Second Sight on Wii too.
"Also, if you want to start a petition for remaking Second Sight on the Wii, I'd like to see that as well, because I think that game worked really well, [laughs] because of the manipulation stuff."
If by remake they mean Resident Evil on GC kind of remake then of course But if it's just going to be another import with added Wii controls then forget it.

Well I think first person games are one of the only types of game that could be simply ported to Wii with the controls added. Fps games should all work great on Wii as long as they get the control system right.
remaking second sight for the wii would be a waste of time. it's another old game that most people have already played before. however a brand new timesplitters on the wii would be a great idea. i wouldn't want the wii to have online play the same as the ps3/360 versions though. online modes is something that always seems to be dropped from the wii, when a big title is made on 3 different platforms.
Yeah, second sight was good, but i think a straight remake would just open the flood gates for more remakes with bolted on wii controls, which wouldn't be a good thing. Wii Really needs more original games, oh and Pikmin 3.
A second sight sequel qould be the way to go. The Remote would be perfect as a gun (like all other Wii FPSes), but also as John Vattic's (sp?) arm when using telekinetic moves. e.g. Lock on, grab, and just swing the enemys body wherever you want. Stabbing motion to sned out bursts of energy etc...
But first things first, I want TS4. Since all other FPS are getting more and more technical in graphics, TS is probably the only series (with its stylised looks) that wouldn't compare badly to the other versions.
I thought Second Sight flopped on the Gamecube/PS2 despite some good reviews - so I understand the idea of porting it to the Wii, even if I despair at the thought of another port with tacked on controls.
I'm all in for a Wii version of Timesplitters 4. I loved Timesplitters 2 and 3. I'm not bothered about the graphics not being HD, I just want to play good games that are immersive and fun.
As much as I love Timesplitters and would love to see number 4 on the Wii I think Free Radical should make a original game only for the wii that makes full use of the consoles capabilities. Just an idea!
