S.T.A.L.K.E.R. dev eyes consoles

Console development is under consideration, GSC tells CVG
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. crew GSC Game World, traditionally a PC-focused studio, is casting a serious eye over console development...

"PC game development is very traditional for ex-USSR and over 90 percent of gamers here play on PCs. However, we are pretty aware of the tendencies in the markets internationally and have been considering console development for a while", GSC project manager Anton Bolshakov revealed in an interview we'll be publishing shortly.

Considering the success the developer's experienced with S.T.A.L.K.E.R., it's a safe bet this is the franchise it'd bring to console if it pursued console development in earnest, although the studio's also known for its strategy games such as Cossacks.

However, while GSC says console development has been under consideration for some time, Bolshakov told us there are "no announcements yet". So for now it's a case of watch this space...

It didnt need anything too super powered as I was able to run it quite nice. My pc is not able to run bio-shock DiRT or anything else shader model 3.0.

Specs for me are:

amd 64 3200
ati x850
1 gig ddr
xp pro

Not exactly the pinnacle of power Very Happy

Hopefully the version they release for the consoles will work without any problems.
