Can't get a Wii? How about getting a 'Vii' from China instead? We're sure it's just as good.
The world-renowned masters of piracy in China have produced a console that shamelessly seeks to pilfer some of the popularity of Nintendo's motion-controlled beauty.
The ingeniously-named 'Vii' not only steals the aesthetics of Nintendo's console, but it's controlled with a blatant replica of the Wii Remote, too.
It looks motion controlled in some way (which is surprising), but the games, which can just about be made out in the image below (courtesy of Engadget), are sure to be complete rubbish (or as good as Mario Galaxy - who knows?).
We still want one though, just for the comedy value.
That's just rediculous. I hope Nintendo throw the book at them for copyright infringement.
Erm.... This is a country in which it is practically impossible to find legitimate DVDs or CDs on sale. It is also the same country that is a one party communist state and therefore I doubt Nintendo can do a fat lot about it. The music industry simply ignores china (and sues it's own customers instead) so I suspect the games industry will do much the same.
i'm still note sure about all this. look at the jag xk and the aston martin db. they look virtually identical. there must have been some copying going on there. if someone has a good idea it's going to be copied. just look at sony with the six axix

The Jaguar XK8 and Aston Martin DB7 were designed by the same bloke. Also the DB7 was based on Jaguar resources anyway so it's hardly surprising that they look very similar.
The Vii on the other hand is just a big old rip off and probably plays old Atari VCS2600 games. Mind you, from the graphics in most Wii games it might be hard to tell the difference! (just joking!)

There's always some form of copying going on. A chinese motor company was sued by GM recently for copying one of the models in the range based on the Daewoo Matiz

Ł5 notes would work. They are small enough so most retailers wont check them closely, but large enough to make decent money from. If you have a decent printer....oh! I bet you meant something else didnt you?

Nope, I don't own any of the current gen consoles. I'm just bored with the constant Wii bashing by people who can't stand the fact that Nintendo are doing well this generation.
My comment was in relation to the fact that all your posts since joining these forums have been anti-wii.

it looks like wii,remote and all but its a sure bet it has ps1 graphics.it would cost to much to get the same hardware inside.Ati and ibm would laugh at this .sure i remember wen they ripped of the n64,it had graphics like sega master system.

I am highly frustrated that Nintendo haven't actually bothered to make a next generation console, but instead produced a restyled Gamecube with a gimmicky 'one trick pony' controller, and paraded it as 'Next Gen'. And the even more frustrating thing is that people actually fall for it and buy it....!

Kind of like the console i bought from toys r us for a laugh - it looked EXACTLY the same as the N64, but thinner plastic, also, the controllers were the same shape, size, colour etc... but it didnt didn't have an analogue stick , so looked the same, but with no point in the middle hand grip...
the games came on 1 cartridge (yes, the same size and shape as an n64 cartridge) and slotted in the top, despite the fact i'm SURE there were no other cartridges you could buy for it...
...the games were all NES quality - and to make things worse, absolute rip offs of NES games (i.e. same art work altered slightly), so there was a mario rip off where they must have got the code, or the art work and just changed it - so mario was a snowman, or a rabbit or something ( i forget) but all the background and scenery was EXACTLY the same... however it made me think they just stole the artwork rather than the exact code cos the jumping was overly floaty and things like that
it also came with a gun like the NES blaster, and there was duck hunt which had the dog changed to an alien....
....all very strange considering this was about a year ago

It's a NEW gen console, NOT a next gen console. Get it right before you start making false claims and such.
