Bungie has hidden secret Ninja Gaiden items in Halo 3, and here are the first shots of them in the flesh.
Players who've already put too many hours into Halo 3 are running around wearing a Hayabusa-style helmet with a ninja sword on their backs. And it's causing a storm in the forums...
The sword isn't a usable weapon - so don't get too excited - but it looks cool. And all you have to do to get it is earn all 1000 Achievement Points. So that means you need to locate all the near-impossible-to-find skulls and the helmet is yours too. Easy that!
Maybe this is why we hear loads of people asking other gamers to help them get multiplayer achievement points BY CHEATING? Shame on all of you! Getting the Overkill achievement will happen in its own good time...
Was wondering if Bungie would return the favour after the DOA4 Spartan character. I must also correct your article statement, to get the full set of Hayabusa armor you need to find ALL the skulls. This means the golden skulls, which you get achievements for, and the silver skulls, which are much harder to find and get no achievements for. As for the sword. No idea about that. First time I've seen it. Shame you can't use it in place of the energy sword though...
The IWHBYD skull has got to be among the maddest things EVER put into a video game. I salute the hardy adventurer that worked that bad boy out. Tip o'the cap, indeed, marine.
I gots all the Hayabusa armour but I don't have the sword yet... don't wanna boost to get all the achievements. Probably gonna change my armour though when everyone else starts running around looking like The Shredder.
does anyone know what the 14th skull does? the 'unknown' one,i think it's on cortana (t**t of a level on legendary).
I thought there were only 13... the one that took ages for peeps to work out is the IWHBYD skull...
It's on the Covenant level, in the room with the load of hologram Halos... you have the kill all the brutes, kill the prophet, kill the flood then jump through all the hoops in the order: 4 6 5 4 5 3 4... with one being the closest to the entrance and 7 being the closest to the bridge... the skull apears at the bridge when you do it right and all the Halos light up in a sequence.
the first couple of times I saw this, i honestly thought it was "super shredder", from TMNT2. haha. It took at least 5 games of seeing this to realize that it was supposed to be ryu. I honestly see it every other game, and I'm assuming lots of people cheated somehow to get these as almost every i've run into with it has sucked horribly at the game, save for one guy. most of them seem to have 70+ exp as well, but always end up in 3-4th place.

I agree it looks lame but at least its Bungie giving Team Ninja the nod. Also, just because people ahve high XP doesn't mean they are any good. It just means they have played alot of games to gain that XP. If you want to base people skill's then go on ranked and use the levels from that. XP means zit...

Having the full Hayabusa armour doesn't necessarily mean you're amazing at multiplayer. People just took the time into searching for all 13 skulls: it has nothing to do with skill.
The 14th Skull is on Cortana but it's a duplicate Blind Skull from Sierra 117. They put it in twice
