VF5 demo hits XBL - exclusive movies

Watch 360's version of Sega's fighter in action while you download it
Virtua Fighter 5's been kick and punching its beat-'em-up excellence on PS3 for a while now, but the Xbox 360 version is close - it's out at the end of the month.

But before it blasts onto the scene, a 674MB VF5 demo has released on Xbox Live, allowing you to test it prior to splashing the cash.

Excellent. Can test how well the 360 pad works for this. Thats my only concern as I hate the d-pad on it

Most boring game type of all games ever conceived.

Most boring game type of all games ever conceived.

Generally I would agree with that. Only exceptions for me are Marvel Vs capcom 2 (the pinnacle of 2D fighters) and Soul Calibur on Dreamcast because it was top fun with a few beers with your mates.

Don't buy/play/download it then! Simple. However it is THE best fighting game of its type and so a lot of people will disagree with you! I, for one, absolutely love Virtua fighter and welcome it with open arms!

Come to me VF5....

It's been designed to work with the analogue stick as well.

Only beat-em-ups I have ever played and liked are PowerStone and PowerStone 2....and yes it's cos I was always cack at SF2 on MegaDrive - I was one of those people gamers' hate who just finds one move and does it again and again: Dhalsim's stretchy punch worked a treat!

Soul Caliber and Fight Night Round 3 are the only fighters I ever bought and loved.

Although I might just give the demo a go.

I love fighting games whether 2D or 3D and have since the days of "Exploding Fist" & "International Karate" etc. so can't wait to give this a test-drive!

This game is way to slow. I need a fast fighting game. Soul Calibur is so much better than this series IMO.

Took me a while to work it out with the analog controls but I eventually did Akira's chain stun palm of doom.
Andy_Monahan on 14 Oct '07
Absolutely brilliant. cannot wait to scrape enough money together to buy this
mfnick on 15 Oct '07
Ive DL'ed the demo and this doesnt really work on the 360's pad. I really hope Horii or Ascii release a decent joystick for the 360 (not just for this but all the XBLA stuff too, summat like a Megalo).

I cant see how online will work that well either with our connection speeds. Akiras 2/3 spod combos or even his knee are going to be even more impossible.

I hated Soul Caliber, Toshinden and Tekken but VF is my fave 3D fighting game along with Dead or Alive and Fighting Vipers.

Gonna give this a go to see how it plays. Now if only Sega can get the old AM2 team working on Fighter Vipers 3 Crying or Very sad
