A teaser and countdown timer has appeared on Capcom's community website, ticking down to this Wednesday when the company will presumably make some new announcements.
We could draw conclusions from the teaser site's moody planet that some sort of Lost Planet sequel or spin-off - which has been rumoured for almost a year - will finally be revealed for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this week.
Seeming as the chilly shooter is already one of Capcom's biggest hits to date, some kind of follow-up is inevitable. Unless Sega's old management it involved... you know, the ones who didn't like to make any many.
Also long on the rumour cards is a Wii version of excellent PS2 adventure Okami, which Capcom's Kenji Infane revealed he was considering back in July.
The latter would be brilliant those for those who missed out the first time around - Okami's easily one of the most underrated games of the year and we'd more than welcome a Wii double dip.
Oooooooooooh! What about a new next gen 'AREA 88' (or UN squadren as it was also known). A 2D scrolling balls to the walls shoot'em up with next gen power? YES PLEASE!!
yeah, well their ps3 exclusive 'monster hunter tri' is now a wii exclusive. on wii only! devs will just go wherever the easy money is these days, there's no such thing as loyalty in the games industry!
The only bits I may have figured out is the second line (Except for the last word), "Prepare yourself for a ?????". The last word on the first line may be planet.
I think it's going to be a Lost planet game. With the way the first game ended and the DL maps I don't think there will be so much snow.
