Resistance: Fall of Man 2 is being "tentatively" prepared for launch next November, relocating the World War II-era alien-bashing action to American locations like San Francisco and Chicago as the Chimera invasion hits US shores. Beats Grimsby and Hull...
Sergeant Nathan Hale, star of the original game, will allegedly return - though not necessarily in the leading role. Multiplayer matches are said to feature vehicles, including three brand new aircraft. Even better, there's a cliffhanger ending that sets up a third title in the series.
A sequel's hardly surprising given Insomniac's history-bending battler was one of PS3's better games at launch, though this infoburst certainly ain't official.
No, it comes courtesy of our new favourite industry tipster, the memorably named Surfer Girl Reviews Star Wars blog.
I did'nt like it at first but I did think it got alot better as the game progressed ( The jeep sectioned sucked though ). The other thing that did get on my nevers was some of the the respawn points in multiplayer. There was some points where you just knew that if you respawned there, there would be some toss pot camped just outside ready to pop a cap in ya bottom!!
Is every blog from now on that claims something game related going to be reported as news, just because one person was pretty much right for a change? If so why hasn't my haze is coming to the 360 because blog on 1up been reported as news yet? Oh yeah cause no one read it ,lol.
And come on it was pretty obvious that they where going to make a second one, lets just hope they dont put any churches in it this time.
Bring on the Chimeran! After completing the game in hard and superhard modes in co-op mode, it left me and mates wanting more. However my biggest complaint is that normal level is way too easy and the AI is a bit stupid. However, once you knock it up to Superhard level it's equivalent to Halo3 on hard and the AI just keep surprising you in combat. Hope the next one starts at a harder level with the AI actually thinking a bit more.
This is a great news, I just finish Resistance this morning, I do agree with other peoples in here claim it is a solid shoot'em up game. I do look forward for second and third game.
It took me about 3 or 4 months to finish it not because I was rubbbish, more to do with the fact that it just didn't really interest me and I love my FPSs! I would play a couple of levels, think that was nice, and wouldn't bother switching it on again for another month etc. Gameplay was derivative and a rip off of Halo (the jeep bit at the dam was such a blatant rip off) and Half Life 2 with a bit of WWII genre thrown in for good measure. The worst thing about it was the presentation though. The voice overs from that female soldier really grated at the end of the levels and the cut scenes were rubbish too. Story wasn't too bad though as they obviously left a lot of things as a mystery in order for the sequels to fully expand on it. In fairness gameplay was fun in parts, I liked the alien weapons and their secondary functions.
Oh bugger I seem to have completely missed the point... So....better presentation, more original gameplay mechanics could make the sequel something to look forward to!
