Holy cow! First Lego Batman trailer

Teaser trailer for Traveller's Tales latest Lego venture bricks it onto the block
The first official teaser trailer has appeared online for Lego Batman.

The second Lego tie-in from the studio (and with Lego Indiana Jones on the way) carries the same old PR tag-line, with TT hoping to take both franchises "and make something unique."

Well Star Wars wasn't all that original, but it was certainly bloody good fun (and you can get the missus to play it as well).

So far we know pretty much bugger all about Batman, but we reckon it's safe to assume Robin, The Joker and maybe even the Batmobile will make a brick-y appearance.

Watch the trailer over on Yahoo, because it looks like they've got it under lock and key.

Brilliant. Let's hope it's more of the same bricky fun!

Anyone else think they are milking it a little now?

In a word: no.

I don't have a console, but I think some developers have forgotten about fun in games. Tkae STALKER for example - it is almost brilliant, but it is hardly fun. In an old fashioned sense. Hopefully this will remedy the gaming market situATION...

Definitely not. The Star Wars Lego games (especially the original trilogy) was the best recreation of the films into a game ever (with the possible exception of Super Empire Strikes back, which was bloody good). Seeing more of the same will never be a bad thing, as far as I'm concerned. I only hope they release a Lego Spiderman too. Ooo, and maybe a Star Wars 'expanded universe' (Thrawn Trilogy, Shadows of the Empire etc).

My one problem is that the Lego Batman model doesn't actually look very good. But that's pretty minor in the grand scheme of things.

I think some developers have forgotten about fun in games (...) Take STALKER for example

In fairness it's quite a different game. Still, it'd be fun to play in a Lego version of the Zone. Wink
