Rumour is circulating that Capcom's Xbox 360 undead splatterfest Dead Rising is heading to PC.
Apparently, the rumour has originated from what's reportedly a bit of a slip up by an Italian game distributor that distributes Capcom's games in, er, Italy.
We spoke to Capcom UK about the rumour earlier this morning. "No comment", was the reply.
But with Capcom now bringing games to PC - such as Lost Planet and Devil May Cry 4 - perhaps there's truth lurking in the Dead Rising gossip.
Dead Rising sees photojournalist Frank West following a lead to a local shopping mall where reports suggest a tide of undead zombies has been sighted.
It's up to you to fight through the groaning masses in a bid to uncover the truth behind the mysterious zombie outbreak - all before your helicopter ride out of the hell hole arrives in seventy-two hours time.
I reckon it is a high possibility as they all use the same graphics engine. I'm actually surprised it hasn't appeared yet as it was more popular than Lost Planet.
Lets hope if they do port it, they fix the awful save system.

The save system was annoying but it did force you to play the game in a more strategic way!
A great game, having fun playing this right now on my 360, saving system is a bit rubbish though, but you get used to it.
What i want though is dead rising 2 to be confirmed, not in the mall, but in the town or city, with better guns and more comedy weapons, its fun beating up zombies, with a handbag or a big teddy while having a bald head, red sunglasses and floral dress, pointless, but fun.
Funny to hear so many people complain about the save system, I guess you either love it or hate it Marmite style. Personally I loved it, it made you 'afraid' to die which imo further added to the atmosphere, too many games these days with autosave, removes alot of the tension if you know you can just reload any part at any time.
Besides, if you are getting annoyed that you have to replay a certain section more than once then you are not really enjoying the game in the first place are you. Dead Rising was build from the beginning to be played through multiple times, thats why each play through is only 6 hours long and there are many endings.
My god i sure hope this is true ... borrowed a mates 360 and this was the only game i thought was any good on it. Next to gears of course but thats out on pc
Hope this is true, I have it on 360 but I ain't played it in yonks, tis slightly annoying playing it on a standard definition TV as the text is unreadable.
I quite like the save system though, it really makes you dread going out in the open for fear of being killed. Which is how you'd feel in the event of a zombie outbreak.
I got soon bored of Dead Rising, (mainly as I had only just got my 360 and was crap at aiming) So I lent it to my brother. really should get it back off him eventually. Dunno if I'd like a pc version more or less, as it's a bit more fun as an arcadey game with a gamepad to controll than a keyboard and mouse one.
