Rumours of an Elder Scrolls MMO have taken a fresh turn following the licensing of MMO tech HeroEngine by Bethesda sister company ZeniMax Online Studios.
ZeniMax Online has been set up to focus purely on development in the massively multilayer online arena.
Creator SimuTronics explains, "HeroEngine is an MMO development team's dream come true - it streamlines the entire process of building your MMO game. Artists, world builders, scripters, game designers, producers, and customer service can all collaborate live, online, in real-time.
"Create and update your game faster, with more time to focus on the fun rather than waiting for code to crunch. Build the game and play it at the same time to see instant results."
Completely, the article mentions two of the greatest single player franchises of the past few years, Elder Scrolls and KOTOR. They work because they're single player, if you introduce an MMO in KOTOR particularly you're losing out on one of the most highly anticipated games ever, as well as ruining the so-called trilogy!
Yep, i do hope it isnt the end of the single player games from both these series.
Im actually still playing Oblivion for the PC, just started a new character not long ago and im still finding new things to do despite the many hours i have plowed into the game
