Criterion and EA are giving Burnout fans an early Christmas present; a Burnout Paradise demo arriving on either PS3 or Xbox 360 (or both!) next week.
The demo's imminent arrival was signalled by a countdown timer on the developer's official website, ticking down to Thursday, December 13 - a regular PlayStation Store update date.
You'd assume then that with that considered and the fact that the PS3 is the lead platform for Burnout, PS3 owners won't have to wait longer to give the crash-em-up a spin.
Going by the free-roaming nature of Paradise, we reckon the demo's going to be good'en (and come in at a massive file size as well).
We got to go hands-on with new instalment last week and it's looking fantastic. More on that next week, but for now check out our recent interview with the game's producer Nick Channon.
Both versions are identical according to the interview.
Yeah, I've heard the same but because it was a ps3 lead platform game the 360 version is better than it would have been otherwise. Good news all round.
Will certainly be looking out for this demo. Will be interesting to see if they've mixed things up as the whole concept got boring after the last installment. Hopefully EA aren't just milking this series by releasing a yearly edition.
But I can't imagine a burnout game without a rumbling pad, it would feel flat. Any news yet about an official UK release date for the pad?
Nothing yet, but take heart... the demo will probably miss it, but the full game would almost certainly be out around the same time as that new fangled dualshockaxis3 thing-a-me-bob.
