No Smash Bros for Europe in Q1 then? Shame
weredog on 6 Dec '07
Wii Fit? Smash Bros? Professor Layton? Trauma Centre 2? Dragon Quest (Wii)? De Blob? Mystery Detective 2?

It's a lot of games i'll give you that, but apart from No More Heroes and Zack and Wiki there's nothing much else but s**te in there.

EDIT: When half of those Wii games are Data Design Interactive shovelware it's nothing to shout about Nintendo.
4321emanresu on 6 Dec '07
Apart from maybe three games, that Wii list is a stinkfest.
SSB fans aren't gonna be happy either.
theideal on 6 Dec '07
LAST NINJA!!!

YEY!!! (I am doing my happy dance - be glad that you cannot see it).

January...ahhh sweet January.

Now - if only there was some kind of information released about it?!?! COME ON!
buffers32 on 6 Dec '07
I went looking for Brawl too, but I can't Google a reliable date for it at all.
Technically it should be out already, since a lot of places are saying December 4th. But a lot of sites are saying mid-late January for America and February for us Euros. Which sucks ass.

At this rate I'll be lucky if I see it for my birthday in June...
Dajmin on 6 Dec '07
So ive got to look forward to

Nights
Battalion Wars 2
No More Heroes
Bleach
SSBB (not on list but its still coming out I take it?)

5 games over a whole year? Bravo Nintendo, bravo. Rolling Eyes

Lots of shovelware s**te. Where's Okami for f&%k sake?!!!!

Stop moaning!
gbenlcfc on 6 Dec '07
Stop moaning!

Dont we have a right to moan. We spend Ł170 on a games console & then theres a severe lack in great games. If we didnt moan the market would be flooded with even more mini game crap. There would never be a game of Galaxy's calibre ever again
mfnick on 6 Dec '07
Where is;

Nitrobike
Wii Music
Pilotwings

??
All the above are listed as jan 25th on play.com obviously this is a big mistake, but to not make the list at all, how far can these titles be from release.?
I can wait until apr/may for MarioKart but i need a few more decent games to keep me going
jaycee900 on 6 Dec '07
I have to admit, Nintendo do seem to be churning out more quantity than quality - it used to be the reverse, but I'm reading about so much cheap dross being release for both Wii and DS platforms.

Nintendo, how about you slap some kind of quality control on content release for your platform??
ranaraptor on 6 Dec '07
Right, Zack and Wiki and No More Heroes. I suppose I'll get Res Evil 4 aswell to keep me busy, before Okami is released in 2009
ciaran211 on 6 Dec '07

Why should they? Sony don't.
buffers32 on 6 Dec '07
The DS scehdule is sinking into the murky depths of awfulness, but Mario Kart Wii makes up for any lack of quantity in the Wii schedule. Plus, to be fair, the Wii has just had two amazing games - SMG and MP3C (the latter, I know, is disputed but I've loved MP and MP2E so I'm looking forward to getting this at Christmas hugely). And few consoles have runs of more than three killer apps. at once.

Kinda like the opposite of the 64 where the 1st party games were top drawer but you would get one every quarter, here you are getting hundreds a month but they are all licenses, non-games or party games.

Well it's because they can make more profit for now out of cheap gimmicky concepts (if Nintendo don't want to appeal to us gamers I REFUSE to call their motionl controlled five minute wonder tech demos games) than doing anything as groundbreaking or as bold as Starwing (Starfox) or Pilot Wings were.

No Mario kart? No Fire Emblem? No Zak & Wiki?

TBH, step out and look at it objectively those games are coming out first half of the year. compile a list and compare it to whats coming for 360 PS3 there's about the same amount of quality to look forward too.

Just means this year ends on a s**t note for the Wii.

Noone should pay attention to these lists. Same for any of the formats.

They are always half bottomd. Where's tales of symphonia sequel too? there will be plenty more addedd throughout the year.
Fox on 6 Dec '07
I've been saying it since just before it's release last year; the most interesting time in a Nintendo console's life is when all the 1st party IPs have been released and the 3rd parties take up the slack.

It's Q3+4 I'm most interested in seeing.

It would not surprise me if a couple of big IPs were held back for several months, well into next year to give later schedules a bit more prestige.

Despite the odd quality spike, I've seen nothing yet to make me part from my money. I've bought everything (bar the Virtual Boy and GBA Micro) since the days of Game and Watch and I'm wondering whether this'll be the first home console from them I may miss.

So far, only Okami is standing out as a must-have title... but then, I could pick that up and a PS2 for Ł100.
boskersrevenge on 6 Dec '07
No Smash Bros for Europe in Q1 then? Shame

Absolute p**s take. Nintendo can go f**k themselves. Take your s**tty toy and give us a proper Nintendo console where I can enjoy real games the same time as everyone else around the world!
vulcanraven01 on 6 Dec '07
is that a Europe list? I know theres a lot more expected by spring here in the US. I generally rely on ign's release date list. usually is pretty accurate, and theres a lot more coming that this list.
distant2nd on 6 Dec '07

Havent really liked Mario kart since SNES Days. & the new one looks to dilute the experience further. Got Fire Emblem on GC & TBH there isnt much difference & Zak & Wiki im getting for my b'day & was released this year. Quite a few weeks ago in America & ive got a US machine.

but your right, the PS3 & 360 have about the same number of quality titles announced so far. & there will surely be more. However there is a stronger chance of Nintendos staying this bad whereas PS3 & 360 IMO have a better chance of giving me more classic games that havent been announnced yet or havent shown their potential yet.
mfnick on 6 Dec '07
Absolute joke

Harvest Moon Magical Melody (Rising Star Games/ Nintendo)

Was supposed to come out on the gamecube 2006
dandoc2 on 6 Dec '07
where the hell is fire emblem for wii ive been waiting for this game for almost a year now...

I won't tell you to stop moaning like that other guy did, but I will tell you to not moan after only skim reading an article.

If you had bothered to read the entire text, you would have noticed that it quite clearly states that these are the releases we will see up to the spring, not for the entire year. Even if the article didn't specifically state that, the fact the releases listed only go up to spring should be a rather bloody huge clue, to say the least Rolling Eyes.

Ah forgot you have an american machine. You have no reason to moan it's Europe that gets shafted!

I wouldn't call it bad! As a line up it isn't bad at all.

Games on the 360/PS3 i look forward too are the established ones such as Metal gear or Resi 5. Until it gets closer to release the other games could go either way so i wouldn't put much stock into which machine has the better chance of having the better line-up...unless you have a flying delorean with a flux capacitor to look into the future. Wouldn't mind that if it was amazingly cheap and had online.
* Donkey Kong Jet Race (Nintendo), 25th January 2008
Sounds like a hold-me-over until mario kart.

There's what I'm interested in for Wii.

If Nintendo (or any other publisher) were to release 10 good quality games over a period of 2-3 months there would be just as much complaining over that..

"Thanx f***ing nintendo for releasing to many games so that i can not afford them all"...

complaining that you have spent money on a console and you dont get quality games.. think of how the PS3 buyers must feel.. then moan!

i think the list looks quite ok, and as someone said there will be more games added, plus this is until spring.. Smile
