A new, slick looking kart racer has been revealed for Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and Games for Windows Live, called Kart Attack.
Coming from Blimey Games - responsible for race sim series GTR - the racer promises full online modes, intelligent AI and a driving model that's "both easy to get to grips with and fun to play." No red shells, though.
Graphically, it looks incredible - especially for a XBLA/PSN title. With visuals like this you have to wonder how they're going to squeeze Kart Attack to fit Xbox Live's tight file restrictions.
We're still hoping for big rockets and crazy banana physics by the time the final game rolls around, but if they don't make it in at least we'll have the pretty trees to look at instead.
With a name like KART ATTACK i was very much hoping for a Mario Kart knock off, oh how sad i am now it is actually just go-karting, you know, like cars but slower and not as nice to look at .
@meoldfruit - well it could have some kinder combat system, whereby you can punch n clobber drivers as u pass, just liketh to road rash but instead with karts! Dat's be ace init
karting is racing in its purest form, equal machines the only difference being the skill of the driver. plenty of overtaking and battles to test "driving skill", if thats not appealing then i dunno what is
