Impressive kart racer for XBLA, PSN

Kart Attack heading to PC, 360 and PS3 as a download title - you HAVE to see these shots!
A new, slick looking kart racer has been revealed for Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and Games for Windows Live, called Kart Attack.

Coming from Blimey Games - responsible for race sim series GTR - the racer promises full online modes, intelligent AI and a driving model that's "both easy to get to grips with and fun to play." No red shells, though.

Graphically, it looks incredible - especially for a XBLA/PSN title. With visuals like this you have to wonder how they're going to squeeze Kart Attack to fit Xbox Live's tight file restrictions.

We're still hoping for big rockets and crazy banana physics by the time the final game rolls around, but if they don't make it in at least we'll have the pretty trees to look at instead.

Read all about it on the Blimey Games website.

Looks awesome, lets hope the playability is on a par with the looks.

Hehehe, I see potential here... this could be damn good fun!

This is what devs should be doing. If this game plays half as well as it looks it could be an XBL classic.

No more 80's style shoot'em ups please.
StonecoldMC on 12 Dec '07
untouched screens, the devs must must be up to date with the cvg forums. Laughing

Looks cool. If the karts are fun to handle then I might be picking this up.

I doubt you'll be able to hop while skidding around corners to get a speed boost though... but still!

Looks great.

Sega did a very good Kart game for arcades a year or two ago. Hope this plays as well as that did.

With a name like KART ATTACK i was very much hoping for a Mario Kart knock off, oh how sad i am now it is actually just go-karting, you know, like cars but slower and not as nice to look at Sad.
myoldfruity on 12 Dec '07
@meoldfruit - well it could have some kinder combat system, whereby you can punch n clobber drivers as u pass, just liketh to road rash but instead with karts! Dat's be ace init ExclamationExclamationExclamationVery Happy
FunkYellowMonkey on 12 Dec '07
You could always ram them off the track at the very least (:

Just close your eyes and pretend you had the racing line to begin with.
ginsin on 13 Dec '07
karting is racing in its purest form, equal machines the only difference being the skill of the driver. plenty of overtaking and battles to test "driving skill", if thats not appealing then i dunno what is
