Del-Rey Books and author Drew Karpyshyn have announced the second volume in the Mass Effect series of novels, which will bridge the gap between the first game and its eventual sequel.
Mass Effect: Ascension is the name of the second read, but we wouldn't like to speculate what it might be about because we're yet to finish the massive game. No spoilers!
The first book though, Mass Effect: Revelation (a prequel to the 360 RPG) was a great read (even if it wasn't the best written book) so we're definitely going to skim through Ascension when it comes out next Summer.
Meanwhile, there's speculation that the currently 360 exclusive RPG is coming to PS3. Superstar analyst Michael Patcher said in an interview that he reckons BioWare will definitely bring it to Sony's console. Stranger things have happened (especially this year)...
Now, all we've got to do is finishing the game before January...
If you're not into RPG games then I could understand your comment but otherwise you're talking out of your bottom. Mass Effect was GOTY for me with Bioshock and Mario Galaxy coming close. The game was just epic in every area and only let down with some minor technical issues. Im very much looking forward to the 2 planned sequels to finish off te trilogy.

I'll take the middle ground here. Everything on the story path and at those locations was exceptionally good. Start exploring the uncharted planets and things did get very, very repetitive. Good thing is, as an RPG, I can replay it and just avoid those planets.

*laughs* Seriously. I almost pee'd myself with laughter there. Your brother is 'into his RPG's' but didnt like all the talking ? Just about EVERY RPG has a large amount of talking. Oh, and the game doesnt have very many cut-scenes that dont involve talking (again, a large part of RPG's, Oblivion especially). You sound like your talking out of your starfish just to try and back your opinion up It was funny though.
I enjoyed the first book, and I am going to recommend that my friends read it before playing the game purely so the first time Saren appears on the screen, they will have an "Oh f**k, it's HIM..." reaction.
There was a moment towards the end of the game where I was momentarily convinced that my entire team had died, and there was a sense of genuine relief afterward.
