Porn is usually one of the most significant factors in deciding the winner of digital format wars. Funny, but true.
Now, Digital Playground, the leading studio for high-definition adult films, has gone the way of Warner and scrapped support for HD-DVD, moving exclusively to the Blu-ray camp, inevitably bringing with it the HD porn-loving male population.
Sony used to enforce a 'no porn on Blu-ray' policy, but unsurprisingly changed its mind last year when it allowed Digiatal Playground to start churning out Blu-ray breast action. Good move, we say.
Now, we're just going to check how good the zoom function is on PS3's Blu-ray playback...
Sick of people complaining about Blu-Ray and HD DVD related stories. "Boo hoo. This is not games related. I thought CVG stood for Computer & Video Games!" PS3 has Blu-Ray built in. Xbox 360 has a HD DVD add-on drive. As soon as those things happened, HD movie formats became totally relevant to gaming news. If you don't like it, don't read it.

not really, but some people will have you believe it is, think you will find that only about 5% of people who have porn 'pay' for porn films anyways.... who doesnt know how to use torrents or newzbin.com (xxxnewzbin.com if you want porn), it used to be a deciding factor with betamax and vhs, but now everyone has pc's and gets most porn off the internet (for free mostly, password sites or torrents etc).... irrelevant issue now porn on any format as 95% of it is on pc's nowadays in divx form....

Hell most of the studios out there just put up websites, its cheaper.
I can't wait for 2012, when optical media is officially dead and buried, and everything is streaming/downloadable content. My DVD player will work fin till then.
i have to agree with a post above. i think this war is won already by blue ray. the only place i've seen an hd movie is in a games shop on the bottom shelf. blue ray are all over the place.

i bought a porno the other week (new years day) in amsterdam. it was on sale for 20 euros, 'the best of british' with girls from london and manchester in. was thinkin at the time, f**k it, it doesnt cost much so im not bottomd if its s**te. it got robbed by some thieving t**t in one of the airports. one of the luggage handler fellas. dirty bastard.

Usually a sorefest covered in thick makeup which HD will show like a turd in a punch bowl. Nothing gets me hotter than thigh bruises and cold sores slathered over with flesh colored putty...
Most of the pornsites offer HD nowadays but as long as it's easier to just get what you want from free sites (with HD) I don't really see the point in paying for it. After you've seen one porno you throw it away don't you?
looks like hd-dvd is abit of a dead duck now in the water, but i dont see toshiba dropping it anytime soon though, but with less and less content coming out on it, it dosnt seem to have any chance now, looks like my move to hd films will be the way of the blue-ray, but thats a long way off, at least till the films drop in price to dvd price levels.
Or stargate sg-1 and atlantis only come out on blue-ray from now on.

i see where you are coming from but this news might affect peoples choice of which machine to buy. also, there seems to be no interesting news at the moment so they have to fill with something.

I think this just shows how desperate Sony are becoming over the PS3, first it was a games console that could play blu ray, then it became a blu ray player that can also play games...now its a blu ray player that can play blu movies...oh and a few odd games!
The sad thing is that that porn market (despite the huge quantity of free content available.. redtube.com my personal fav) the porn industry and market still dwarfs the gaming and film industries put together...so watch Sonys stock rise after this...that is until the cost of blu ray players drop

no you sell it down the pub n get a few pints, theres always a dirty old man in my pub, usualy theres a few of them. u might have to give it a wipe though
