Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 In-Game Footage
Video interview
3:54Gameplay, reward system and character customisation under the microscope in new video developer diary
It includes the first real in-game footage from the game, something that's been missing from previous Vegas 2 movies (previous movies can be seen here, here and here).
Therien additionally speaks generally about Ubisoft's sequel, including the story which will take you into the outskirts of Vegas this time around.
"We're expanding character evolution to a whole new level by including it in single-player", he says of character customisation. You "can customise the character in any way you want with the available gear and weapons", Therien adds.
Naturally, this is backed up with footage showing the character customisation in action.
..."we created a whole new reward system with one thing in mind - every action, every objective and every victory will earn you a reward", he continues in the diary.
He goes on to explain that there are three types of reward in the game, experience, ranks and A.C.E.S. To find out more about these and to see Vegas 2 in action, watch the video.
Looks A.C.E, the level up system sounds like a great idea. R6V1 was an awesome game, i hope R6V2 delivers the same or an even better level of fun and challenge.

This is shaping up really nicely, i was worried it would be steamrolled by COD4 even though that will be six months old by the time R6V2 emerges. Looks like they've included a sprint action this time round (did anyone notice how slow R6V was on going back to it after playing COD4). i can't wait for this now!
it looks like it could be interesting. hopefully plays more fluidly than the first r6v ( just my opinion ) i would also like the weapons to have more feeling to them, real grunt. you're unleashing steaming lead that brings death not blowing air threw a straw at the enemies.

I know what you mean, I was playing R6V the other night and it felt so damn slow, also the lag drove me even more insane than when it first came out haha. Still I'll check this out anyway

What was wrong with the guns? I remember being mighty impressed by the sound in Vegas1.
