Ryan Payton, assistant producer at Kojima Productions, promises there will be no MGS 4 demo next month.
Payton sought to clarify some of the MGS-related rumours floating around the net this month, with the big one being PSW's that a playable demo would be on PSN in February.
Discussing the rumour in a webcast on an official blog, Payton admits that while everyone may have gotten excited about the possibility of a demo, despite the wide-spread rumours, "that's not the case".
Oh well... there's not long to wait for the full game now anyway.
big mistake by konami, especially since many people don't like the story heavy, overly long cutscenes in MGS, a decent demo would have won more people over and definately sold more copies.. look how well drake's fortune has done , purely because the demo was so successful....

i throught uncharted wasent selling very well, even tho its one amazing game.
There is huge demand for a demo and they know that. It's still a definite buy for me, but it also makes me wonder what they're afraid of.
burnout was an instant buy for most people. look at what that demo done..
its not like MGS is in need of promoting is it.
Dunno about your claims regarding Burnout. The demo was crap and has made me not buy the game!!
A demo of MGS 4 woulda been nice but to be honest I was in one of the independent games stores in Glasgow yesterday and they had gameplay footage running on their PS3 pod and it looks awesome when its running so I'll definately be getting it. Think the big group huddled round the pod felt the same...
I'm not bothered ayway, it'll just have taken ages to download and as the article the full version's out soon. Sure to be epic so i'll just buy it blind
I'm glad there's not going one. I'd rather they spent their time tweaking the finished product to perfection instead of wasting time assembling a demo.
