First Tiberium in-game footage

Gameplay lid flipped open on EA's Command & Conquer shooter
The very first in-game footage from EA's Command & Conquer first-person shooter has arrived.

Appearing in a video on YouTube, the gameplay footage is interspersed with comments from the game's executive producer, Chris Plummer.

In the game players step into the shoes of Forward Battle Commander Ricardo Vega and will assemble an assortment of elite squads to combat the global crisis. You'll be armed with plenty of C&C weapons including a transforming personal weapon system, multi-launch homing missiles, capital ship bombardments and tactical ion cannon strikes.

The game aims to blend first-person shooting and tactical squad combat into one, where you control multiple infantry, armour, and air squads. The squads are your most decisive weapon, not the rocket launcher.

Watch the gameplay footage here.

Was not very impressed with gameplay footage, it looks very much like any other future shooter (gray with large shoulder pads), and it really doesnt look that good in my opinion, still will have to see how it turs out as im a fan of the RTS C&C's

The footage is from a show on Gametrailers.com - you can watch the entire thing in HD in their site....

I really wish Gametrailers would just show the damn footage rather than fill it with patronising interviews and "analysis"...

Footage looks okay but pretty much indistinguishable from Battlefield 2142...

2 words: looks rubbish

No base building. Aw man. I was looking forward to that. I was thinking a Battlezone version of Command & Conquer. Still, it looks ok, but not a good as I was hoping. Kane better be in it or I'll be really unhappy.
