We mean, Ninja Gaiden 2 is just insane. Look at these screens. There's a bloke (or half of one) slumped on the floor with his flesh in clear view, Ryu flicking his sword clean after demonstrating its sharpness on someone's face.
Don't get us wrong, we're all about it. We'll be hammering the Chop Face button shouting "YARR BITCH" all the way through. But we reckon we'll be needing to import copies from Holland to get the full-fat blood-filled package.
Check the three new screens below and tell us what do you reckon?
Yeah, it'l be censored. I really hate how these organisations try to 'protect' me. Do i need protecting? No, i'm a human being who can decide whether i wish to see blood/guts or not. Just stick a nicely sized warning on the case of the game, if people don't want to see it, they won't buy it.
I never once entertained the idea of buying a game like this, but something has my senses spooked. It will depend on whether NG2 is just purely a button bashing experience, or each fight can be slowed to a pace that you can get involved with your opponent.
this looks well nice and gory, a must have title methinks, but alas it isnt anymore gory than kill bill vol 1 and the fight with the crazy 88's, surly the best fight ever to be put to film........
i fear the censors will see this and go we must protect the kids and ban it, whilst films dont even get cut these days if their being aimed at an 18 rating.

Guess I'll just wait for the demo.
I had the first Ninja Gaiden, there is a lot more to the combat than button bashing... it was really fast though.. and hard
Reason I ask is that I recently borrowed Star Wars JK: Jedi Academy from a friend and the lightsaber duels with the tougher enemies were actually very engaging. Although, that was on PC with a mouse and keyboard...and a completely different kind of game
Ninja Gaiden Sigma on ps3 was a great game. Unfortunately, the devs took the dismemberment and blood effects out of the pal version. Shouldn't detract from the gameplay though, if it happens again.
Sadly, I have just sold my elite to a best mate so I won't be playing this. I am hopeful that it will be released later down the line for ps3.
Still, I shouldn't be greedy. This was probably one of the better exclusives for the 360.
And the fact that the very cartoony blood from No More Heroes was changed to black ash stuff doesnt bode well for NG2
...thats not exactly true. No More Heroes was designed WITH the black ash, blood was added solely for the American market. (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=179651). Unlike most games which have blood removed or toned down for a certain market (I'm looking at you Germany)
Still I'm looking forward to getting my hands on this game

WAS, is!, this game looks awesome & anyone who playd the 1st game on the XBOX will tell u, its no button masher, you wont last long if you dont know what your doing. Wonder if they will include any big bloody arena fights for multiplayer on LIVE!?....
Dismemberment is a pretty big part of this game now as its been shown in almost every video, censoring it now after we've seen it in all its glory would be a travisty.
this looks heavy, ninja gaiden one of the best games ever, it will be censored like sigma on ps3. we all have rockstar and manhunt 2 for evry thing getting censored and toned down now
It's simply wonderful in it's use of the rouge. However will the censors be truly sickened by it, yes probably. Hopefully however, the game will be played at such a blisteringly fast pace that they wont even notice the life like arm tissues and tendons flying around. They will all be too aroused by the sheer glory of it all to care that kids will attempt it on the family pet.
I don't think this is the same sort of issue as Manhunt was. The violence in Manhunt wasn't what the BBFC complained about, it was the presentation of that violence. If he was going around slashing off people's hands and then watching them bleed to death screaming while giggling like a madman, then they'd probably have an issue.
Expect to see them cut stuff for the PAL release though, like the first one.
It'll probably end up banned in Germany and Australia probably has no chance of seeing it uncensored either, due to our own ratings' body not having a ratings category for games intended for adults like they do with film.
