PreviousMonster Lab coming to DS and Wii 30-year-olds: 'drop the pad and grow up'  Next

Fatal Frame 4 named, new screens

Known as Project Zero over here...
The first batch of information and screenshots for the upcoming Wii horror game Fatal Frame IV have appeared online under the name Fatal Frame: The Mask of the Lunar Eclipse.

The title will be produced by Tecmo and Grasshopper, and published by Nintendo. Previous games in the series (under the name of Project Zero over here) have appeared on PS2 and Xbox.

In addition, Nintendo might possibly be involved on the production side too, if rumours are to be believed.

We'd imagine this is more a case of Nintendo funding the project and giving creative input occasionally, especially given that Nintendo friend Suda51 will be have directorial input on the game.

Take a look at more photos from the game's unveiling over at NeoGAF.

You can find some Project Zero II footage here, in 2007's Halloween round-up.

Could it be? A decent 3rd party game* coming to my Wii this year. WOOO, rejoice!!

*No More Heroes included, of course.

Graphics look nice. Hopefully we will start to see quality games like this on Wii this year.

It's good that Nintendo has a hand in third party development.

Can't wait to shoot up some ghosts.....with a camera Smile .

looks stunning, great stuff.

This is really good news.

I loved the other Project Zero games... scared me S**tless!
Taproot601 on 30 Jan '08
Nintendo? Helping third-parties? Lies, I say!

Anyway, it looks pretty enough, but I don't think I know enough about it, so I'm reserving jugement for now.

Good stuff, horror genre games are my favorite. I'd heard about the original Fatal Frame a long time ago, would be nice to play it finally.

Ah Fatal Frame (Project Zero). Probably the only series of games to genuinely give me the chills while playing them, and even managed to scare me s**tless a couple of times as well Very Happy

Bring on number 4 in the series. I don't care which console it's released on, I have to have it!!!!!

the graphics looks more appealing and it somewhat sets your feeling to get frightened...

There I was thinking that this was for the 360/PS3.
but no, it for the Wii.
What a shock, might as well add it to the list as I enjoyed all the others # 2 being the best IMO.
bizbaz45 on 30 Jan '08
looks like a promising 3rd party game heading for the little wii. i'll have to clean the dust off.
j.bullingham on 30 Jan '08
hope this is the start of the wii getting some baddass games, cant wait for no more heroes, same about the no more blood(killer 7 had a "small" amount of blood why cant heroes )
Demoki on 30 Jan '08
The original three games were some of my favourite PS2 games ever, so I'm really excited about this. The wiimote and the PZ camera seem a perfect fit! Presumably they'll use the nunchuck to move around and the 'mote itself to aiming, so moving and aiming should be a tad easier than it was in the PS2 incarnations Smile.
