Unreal PS3 shoots for Feb 22 release

Retailers spill the beans on the long-awaited UK release
Unreal Tournament III will at long last be hitting UK stores on February 22, retailers have revealed.

The UK's biggest online retailers, including Play, Amazon and Game are all reporting the same date. So is publisher Midway, which pretty much sets things in stone then.

There's still, however, no firm date on the arrival of the 360 version, though Play calls out a March 28 release. Though we think that's unlikely, as it the equally farfetched February 29 date on Amazon.

You can read our huge preview and see videos and screens of Epic's stunner in action here.

Apperently the Single Player mode is rubbish, just bot matches with cut scenes in between

dont get it then, i didnt buy it for the campaign, better to play against real people i think, but thats just my opinion, if you're after a campaign with a solid storyline then dont get it, its all arena based combat... horses for courses an all that...

I was looking forward to this but after some mixed reviews from people i'm just not too sure about it, still think it's better suited to PC than a console. But knowing me i'll probably still get it, gives me something to play on my PS3 for a while!

I dont do multiplayer either.

Got UT3 on PC..single player is not bad, pretty good. I do reckon the first UT still feels best.

(but for me quake 3 is better still)

might be a bit quick for a controller, is it true you can use a mouse and keyboard on PS3?

yea you can use mouse and keyboard. I got this last week for PS3 and it can be great fun, but the lag online ruins it completely.
The March 28 360 release date might be in the US, but that then means another probable 4 month delay to it arriving here, so can't imagine it arriving until July/August

yeah, but i cant remember who makes it but there is a controller esq thing for console FPS's..
basically its the left half of the PS3 sixaxis pad combined with a mouse& mousemat combo replacing the right half of the pad ie has the R1 R2 buttons and all the face buttons on the mouse

i havent had any lag issues, thats a shame you get lag as this is the most fun ive had on a shooter on the ps3 online.

Sad

oh, and just to back up your other comment, you can use keyboard/mouse as there is an option in the match search that lets you either eliminate or allow keyboard/mouse games in the search results.
