What is the C&C team's "mother of all secrets"?

EA says big Command & Conquer news is coming
EA LA is soon to unleash a major Command & Conquer reveal, according to C&C product manger David Silverman.
But what the hell is it?

"For several months EA LA has been keeping the mother of all secrets, and in only a few weeks a major announcement will come", Silverman has teased in the latest episode in EA's Battlecast web-based TV show.

He added that everyone who snaps up either limited edition Command & Conquer 3 or C&C 3 expansion Kane's Wrath - both due spring - on PC "will have one more reason to cheer".

It's led to speculation that EA may be about to reveal Red Alert 3 or Generals 2, but it's not clear from what Silverman says whether he's actually referring to a completely new Command & Conquer product or something relating to C&C 3.

Whatever it is, we should find out in the next couple of weeks.

Lets hopes its RA 3 but I hope they don't spoil it by making it 3D like CnC 3 was.

Red Alert 3, in a 2D style like RA2. Would be the greatest RTS created Very Happy

From the sound of the article and the chat about owning LE copies, it probably just means that people will get a C&C3 bog roll in the package. That suits me fine - my flat goes through bog roll at the rate of 2 a day! Plus our Makro card was cancelled...D'oh! Exclamation

May I just add that I broke this story a few days ago here?

Wait I just did Laughing

Anyway, I really hope it is RA3...goddamn I want that game Very Happy

I hope that if anyone on the CnC board of deciders ever suggested a Generals 2, they'd be instantly dragged out and shot.

Red Alert 3 though, that'd be sweet. I'm not mega keen on seeing a full blown 3D version, but if that's what they decide, then so be it.

I know what it is. The famous C&C FMV cut scenes are not actually FMV. EA (and Westwood) have been in possession of an úber awesome 3D engine that puts Crysis to shame since the mid 90s.

And now they are making Tetris with it.

Even if it was Red Alert 3, meh. I always preferred vanilla C&C to that pap.

I liked Generals.

Though would prefer Red Alert 3.

Ill bet its C&C Renegade 2.

Its more than likely something that will come bundled with the new releases rather than a whole new game.

What about those who bough the Kane edition of C&C? The bonus dic was nice, but now there's a decade pack with C&C3 and likely a special C&C with the expansion!
