Silicon Knights has second project in pipeline

Digital Extremes too. $1 million invested by Ontario-based media corporation
Ontario based developers Silicon Knights and Digital Extremes are each working on prototypes for new games set to arrive on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in the next couple of years.

The two developers were sprung into action after receiving funding from the Ontario Media Development Corporation. T $1 million initiative is aimed at boosting the local development scene.

Digital Extremes' project is described as "a third-person action game with an old school horror theme," while Silicon Knights is working on "a third-person action/psychological thriller." Don't get your knickers in a twist, that doesn't mean Eternal Darkness 2 has been confirmed.

Silicon Knights expects to have the game ready for 2010, but if the Too Human debacle is anything to go by (originally in development for PSone, now due for 360 this year), it'll more likely arrive in 2020 on PlayStation 5.

"We hope that this new program will flourish and help expand the Ontario video game industry," said a seemingly chuffed Denis Dyack, president of Silicon Knights.

Less talk, more speedy development, please Denis. You too DE.

Who do you think they will try and sue this time?

We already knew they had another game in the pipeline - that's a good chunk of why they were in litigation over the Unreal 3 engine not being finished when promised in the first place.
