No word on console TF2 updates

Valve's keeping quiet on any possible Team Fortress 2 updates for PS3 and 360
Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Team Fortress 2 continue to be left in the dark when it comes to content updates for the game.

With Valve releasing its "largest update" ever for TF2 on PC yesterday, we dropped the developer a line to find out what the score is with new stuff for the consoles.

"We haven't yet announced what's coming to consoles - nor when, how or for how much, etc.", Doug Lombardi told us.

But don't doubt that the developer IS planning on bringing to Xbox 360 and PS3 what it's delivering on PC. It's just that PC is getting it all first.

Yesterday's update included a TF2'd up version of TFC map Badlands, and a new game mode and unlockable weapons for classes are in the pipeline.

And don't doubt that MS WILL force you to pay for what should be free.

When are people going to stand up & tell Microsoft to go & f**k themselves regarding all the superfluous charges on XBL?

you can be sure there'll be defenders of the charges in this thread and no doubt the same people consider Sky being the best thing since sliced bread and freeview being crap

from what ive scene tf2 has never even made into xbox lives top ten even when it was first released(which is a damn shame). so is there really any point in putting this stuff on consoles???

i spose it might inspire a few more people to pick up the orange box.

Thats generally why Valve keep supporting their older products which is great for us gamers

Microsoft are not the publishers of this game so it is not up to them if there is a charge or not for any added content.

Anyway haven't Valve already confirmed that there would be NO charges for extra content?

Yes. Yes it is.

Well said! I agree 110%! I've downloaded maps for Halo 3 and Call of Duty 3 and been left feeling ripped off. Sony aren't any better.
