Ninja Theory, the UK-based developer behind PS3 hit Heavenly Sword (and Kung Fu Chaos), has updated its website to tease us about what its next project will be. Heavenly Sword sequel or something completely different?
"Right now we're working on an exciting new concept that has got everyone we talk to buzzing," reads the website. "We can't say a lot except that it's going to be great to work on and should be even better to play! It'll take all the things we loved about Heavenly Sword and make them bigger and better than ever before."
All clear on that, then? Good.
"There are some teaser elements on this new look website," adds the post. Hit this link and have a look for yourself.
Don't go expecting too much now. All we can make out is that, what ever the game is, it doesn't like it's based in the same time period as Heavenly Sword.
Taking the good bits of Heavenly Sword and making them better... so the new game will be about 7 minutes long then? ...like 'cause Heavenly Sword didn't have good bits... it was a bad game. Get it? Haaaa!
Sorry, Heavenly Sword was an intensely fun game, shortness is a commonality in most games these days. Hopefully the next iteration will be longer, but either way, I enjoyed HS and don't regret buying it.
Well that's all according to individual tastes. Though the ride was short, I loved every minute of it. A beautiful story that was very well told; something that lacks in a lot of games these days.
I liked it but swapped it a couple of weeks later. Now if they had fixed the framerate to a constant 60fps i would had kept it. Loved the part controlling Kai with the six-axis!
Are Ninja Theory PS3-exclusive, or was that just Heavenly Sword?
well sony published heavenly sword so no dout they own them....
i hope what ever they do next takes longer then 5/6 hours to complete, other than that i loved every second of heavenly sword and im sure as news hits on new the game i'll be glued to the previews section of cvg
