Is Turning Point looking any better yet?

Third Reich gets punched in the face in new Turning Point screens
Spark Unlimited's FPS Turning Point: Fall of Liberty is revealing itself afresh in four new screenshots uploaded to this page.

For anyone not familiar with the game, it's set in an alternate reality 1950s and you're fighting Nazis that have invaded New York.

An Xbox 360 Turning Point demo released recently got mauled by gamers, but the developer moved quickly to reassure that an awful lot of work has gone into the game since the demo was finalised.

Never mind looking better. Is it playing any better yet? The demo was shocking control wise and detection was way off!

I actually enjoyed the demo....alot more than Frontlines at least anyways.

the screens are terrible, blocky hands and faces. another joke.
i saw this on gamer tv at the weekend, the AI was shocking, the gameplay looked cr@p.
im sick of half @rsed games flooding the shelves every few weeks.

Exactly! With more time (and maybe in the hands of a better developer) Turok could and should have been awesome. The Club too had potential but was released a fraction of what it could have been. Confused

this game still looks very poor.
textures are bland ,building on the 4th screen is terrible.shading process on characters makes them look blocky.or maybe i'm wrong? anyway ,lets wait for resident evil 5.

Meh, graphics aren't everything - these are certainly functional if nothing else.

What bothers me about this game is the hugely obtrusive advert that plagued this site for a week or two not too far back. That served to put me off far more than any shoddy demo could.

you are right, that ad was a p*ss take.
i created a poll thread in the technical faq link in the forum about this very subject lol

the graphics arnt that bad, but i think they should give themselves as much time as nessacary the bars are higher these days and all areas must be polished well..dont rush developers! it makes games flop and people complain the gameplay that seemed slow and the story line..ok its intresting..but....but..why the hell are you playing as an american construction worker, shooting and beating up soldiers? that s the stupid bit...at least even if the words he was an ex soldier would perhaps help and make more sence but i saw no evidence.
i remember an advert and haveing a reaction..but cant remember what it said o-o

I will not buy it simply because of that advert.org

Fix the gameplay not the artwork.

My thoughts exactly

Haha, I was going to post something about that damn advert that was on this site but it looks like everyone else felt the same way.

I found the graphics do that annoying stretchy thing around the edges of the screen, suggesting that either the game isn't displaying in widescreen correctly, or they've just not got the depth of field right in the first place. Has anyone played Dark Messiah's demo? That does it so much I turned it off after less than a minute.

I hate this because it often gives me terrible motion sickness. Considering COD4 and other recent FPS games have done no such thing, it's just plain laziness.
Mappman on 21 Feb '08
the one thing good about this is a sort of original plot and the beginning on top of a building was pretty cool i thought apart from having to navigate all the way down which was annoying.
