Peter Molyneux has revealed the final "big secret" in Fable 2; a drop-in, drop-out co-op mode where your friend can visit your Fable world and earn gold.
You can also tax your Xbox Live mate for the amount of cash he or she earns, and keep a portion of it for yourself, revealed the Lionhead boss.
Another way to earn money in Fable 2 will be in a roulette style game called Keystone, which will be made available on Xbox Live Arcade "a few weeks" before Fable 2's release, giving you an opportunity to earn tons of gold before the game's even out.
The co-op mode sounds great, but we're really excited about the XBLA link. How else can developers creatively link the two gaming fields? We'll look forward to seeing if Keystone takes off.
I like the new screen shots and the co op etc seems like the way to go. I liked the orginal Fable a lot but it p**sed me off when they released the updated version a few months later that was actually the full version of the game that should have been released. I wouldn't want to see that happening this time.
That coop looks awesome. It is perfect for friends who dont play games. They never know what to do or play and you always end up playing unranked halo and getting destroyed.
I can't comment much on the XBLA game as there are no screenshots or anything but it sounds like a good idea if they can do it right.
Brilliant! This is the kind of ingenuity that i have been hoping for all along. My congratulations to Lionhead, cheers guys, stuff like this re-affirms my passion for gaming. Keep up the good work.
I like the idea of having a XBL game linked to a full game but there's no way I'd pay 800 points for the right to do so. If they can price it right then they could be onto a winner with this one! Never played fable before but it looks like a gem of 08!
You have to love Peter for always trying out new things and wanting to push his games futher. Co-op was something I half expected, but its nice to see it confirmed. I love the idea of the linked XBLA game. I'm all for it as long as it doesn't cost more than 400MP.
All in all, I seriously can't wait for this game. Let's just hope it delivers the goods.
