SimCity Societies expands

EA unveils SimCity Societies: Destinations - it's time to go on vacation
SimCity Societies: Destinations is the first expansion pack for EA's SimCity Societies and is set to release in May.

Adding a holiday-'em-up theme to the original game, Destinations features a number of new locales that allows players to create "the perfect vacation spot".

No prizes for guessing that you have to lure in travellers from around the globe by building and managing a city or town based on irresistible attractions and amenities - a bit like Skegness.

Destinations additionally features and enhanced map generator that'll identify each city's opportunity for diversion and the city can capitalise on that draw, explains EA.

It continues, "From sprawling theme parks and tropical beach resorts to country hiking trails, players can control more than 100 new buildings to create their customised destination".

SimCity Societies marked something of a departure for the SimCity series and, despite having some good ideas, didn't go down too well when it released toward the end of last year.

SimCity Societies: Destinations will set you back £19.99 when it's released.

Shame - I'm a big fan of SimCity but this one is not what I wanted.

I enjoy DS SimCity more.

I would'nt download for free. If they think im gonna waste another Ł19.99 on this steaming pile of dog muck they can fook right off.

Didn't the generally poor reviews Metacritic's verdict here and luke-warm reception sort of indicate this maybe wasn't such an excellent idea to EA?
