Namco to unveil Wii Balance Board game soon?

Namco is rumoured to be showing off a new balance game this week, behind closed doors to selected members of the US gaming press.

No one from the games development company was available for comment, but new third-party games using the Balance Board would coincide with the comments of Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime last week at GDC, who confirmed over ten games were in development for the board.

Fortunately for Namco, Wii Fit sales have ensured that there is a significant user base for Balance Board. In Japan, Wii Fit sold over a million units within the first month of its release.

UPDATE: By coincidence, we've just noticed the Japanese Family Ski TV spot clearly shows the Balance Board in action. Will Namco be announcing an American release this Friday? We'll have to wait and see.
